Breaking the ice, finally

Arron took some time to get to talking with William, trying his best to both calm his own nerves as well as put the other man at ease, with some degree of success. It was rather difficult to look at the man at times due to the memories coming back of how much he had imagined what happened last night in the parking lot. A simple kiss had been given but the feelings and the urges afterwards at home kept playing in his mind. That and the fact that his cock was very much responsive and caused him to strain a bit, hoping that the restraints he wore kept it tucked as securely as possible. How does one check, though, in public and not look completely weird in the process?

William, for his part, talked a bit more but still kept stumbling a bit, wondering just how long he could continue to talk while avoiding casting leering looks at his conversation partner's body. Was it the fact he hadn't had sex for over 5 years, 4 since Veronica died and 1 year for her cancer treatments? Was he THAT deprived?

After about a half-hour, Arron finally decided to put an end to this charade and William, for his part, was more than grateful as they both got up from the table and walked to the exit. They still felt more than a bit distanced from each other but as the older man walked in front, Arron found himself walking rather next to him. It was easy enough to then exit the shop and with that, the two of them looked at the SUV in the parking lot. The absurdity of the moment, plus the memory from the night before, caused Arron to laugh and William joined him. It didn't even occur to either that William slipped his hand around his waist or that Arron leaned in a bit and placed a hand on his chest to steady himself as they just stood there for a moment laughing.

"Sorry, that was just the most awkward 45 minutes I've ever spent..." he managed to say after regaining his composure and ability to speak clearly. "It's just been a weird week at work."

William nodded as he quickly removed his hand from his waist and walked to the passenger side as Arron got in behind the wheel. "Yeah, I can imagine. It's been rough for everyone, really."

The two of them, with the ice finally broken between the two of them, talked animatedly as they pulled out onto the main road and headed back to their neighborhood. William had a smile and felt a bit more at ease talking and Arron, for his part, found himself enjoying this type of company. William had that best-friend vibe in his conversation style, a maturity that was refreshing in comparison to some of his closest friends back east, and yet there was a warmth and something else that made him endearing a bit. It bothered him too, as he continued to drive and talk, that there was an interest to learn more about this person sitting next to him. 41 years as a man and he never felt as intrigued to learn more about a man than he was in the past 24 hours. This job's messed up my head a lot...

William felt different too. Until he had met her, he swore that the only person who gave him the sense of welcoming and warmth was Veronica and she was special to him. They had raised a family together, she had supported him through some of the worst financial matters and the loss of both his parents and his only sister to a drunk driver. Her loss to cancer not two years afterwards had ripped a hole in his heart and he spent the rest of his time trying his best to provide for his son, Derek. Now, after just one day, he had gotten to know Erin. She laughed warmly and her touch made his skin tingle and caused him to feel a bit younger. He had laughed once at the notion that a woman's touch kept a man feeling young and vibrant. Veronica made him feel content. Erin, however, she made him feel a deeper drive that he hadn't felt in years. Lust.

They pulled up to the curb outside his house and Arron put the car into park and left the engine idling for a moment. He then turned to William and smiled. "Thank you for keeping me company, William."
