"When did you first have sex?"

"Here's an easy one," said Jake. "When was the first time you had sex?"

Abbie smiled. "In college. I was 19. I was a sophomore and he was a freshman, and it was his first time too." She giggled to herself. "We thought we were in love, you know? Boy were we wrong!"

"It didn't last?"

"No. It was like four months, which is a lifetime in college, I think. But it was over quick."

Jake laughed, and Abbie then understood why.

"No, not the sex! The relationship!" She swatted Jake's arm. "Actually the sex was over quick, too." She thought to herself for a bit. "I haven't thought about him for a while."

"You still in touch?"

"No, it's been a while." Abbie shook her body a little, as if there was a shiver of memory along with the story. "Okay, what about you?"

"Um, first time ... I was in high school. I was 16. Too early. I did it twice with a girlfriend, and then didn't do it again until college."

"Who was she?" Abbie asked.

"The girl? Her name was Heather. We were in band together."

"You were in band?" Abbie smiled.

Jake laughed. "Yeah, I used to play the clarinet. Very badly."

"I can just picture you, your face a little less scruffy, wearing a band uniform ..."

Jake smirked. "You like that image? Do you want to do some costume play or something?"

Abbie wiggled in her seat. "Like the shy violinist and the popular clarinet player ... maybe on a break from the marching band at the school football game ... under the bleachers ..." Abbie got herself lost in thought.

Jake's smile beamed widely. "Did you play violin?"

"For a little while."

"Were you in band?"

"Yes, but our band was terrible. And my school didn't even have a football team."

"We could probably get a costume somewhere," said Jake.

Abbie wiggled again, this time pressing her hands against her body a little bit. "Mm, I'd like that."

Jake nodded. "Noted." He smiled as he peripherally watched Abbie gently touching her neck and upper chest.
