Chapter 4 by Verdant_Hatchling Verdant_Hatchling

“Well…”

"We have something in common then..."

“My mother was slain, by a human, at that… My mother tree, so viciously slaughtered, to make a… To build,” The severely angered Dryad could hardly utter her words, “To build a house, they slew my mother…”

“Well… Where are these humans?” A bloodthirsty gaze was brought about, as he asked.

“Hm, do you intend to slay them? They reside in a mighty settlement… I would’ve done it myself if I could, but… But I don’t possess that kind of might. But you…? You might have…” As she went to continue, Terran shushed her, telling her to guide him to the settlement.

After twenty minutes of maneuvering through the forest, the pair reached a sizable settlement, with a population of over three thousand, and while many of the houses were wooden, a sizable portion of the main building were formed of clay, as well as the entirety of the perimeter wall, which as they were waiting, Terran extended a tendril to meet the wall, as he gained control of many more hundreds of tons.

With this newly gained mass, Terran began spreading minute threads throughout the entirety of the settlement, strangling every single ne'er-do-well right on the spot, ruthlessly murdering hundreds of people in seconds, leaving the people without auras of bloodshed alone, as thousands died before the hour was up.

And every slain man was ripped from their spots, torn under the ground, their forms losing bits and pieces, of bloody viscera, as the forms were pulled forth throughout the entirety of the root system, as Terran animated every ounce of clay in the entire ecosystem below.

Alongside all these newfound nutrients, many Druids emerged from the woodworks, as they discovered the dwindling life energy of the corrupt humans, as their own energies started bursting forth, somehow restoring the forest in a manner which they’d never seen before.

Alongside the Druids, many other creatures began emerging forth, as the countless creatures began rehabilitating into the now barren settlement, as they started regrowing the verdancy of the surroundings, as sprouts of trees began burgeoning throughout the wide terrain.

Terran then returned to the shocked Dryad, as he bowed to her, before turning away, but before he could, the Dryad had leapt upon his back, as she began to sag through, as she eventually slid through Terran’s body, as he looked at her crying form, as she thanked him, “Thank you, sir Terran… I, I can’t thank you enough…”

As she was sniveling on the ground, Terran responded simply, “Do not worry about thanks. I am happy to put an end to their tyranny…” Before turning around, and walking away.

As the gleeful Dryad was bidding her goodbyes to his departing form, he finally departed.

A month later, Terran had made his way to an unnamed town, transforming his appearance to fit a human’s, though still nine feet tall, and draped in an all encompassing cloak, only revealing an aura of **** menace.

And as he made his way through the town, many people avoided him due to his disguise, but one person, possibly aided by magic, saw a hint of magic in his being, and Terran could feel somewhat of a dangerous sensation from whoever it was.

But unbeknownst to Terran, a group of magically enhanced people were gathering to raid this magical monster, masquerading through the center of the town, an expansive crew consisting of two healers, three tanks, three archers, and two mages. And leading them all, was a golden armor adorned figure.

And as Terran was walking, that same golden adorned figure leapt before him, impeding his path, as the street was cleared by the crew, followed by them surrounding him.

In a gruff voice, Terran spoke aggressively, “I have made no aggressive actions nor made any threats of ****… So why have you assaulted me?”

The knight before him responded proudly, "Unknown monster of the abyss, by entering this town of oblivious citizens, you ARE the threat. We are here to protect these fine townsfolk, and to vanquish YOU.”

“Ughh. Fine, let’s get this over with…” With this, no motion was necessary, as a tendril of clay shot forth from the ground, impaling the knight with a skewer, as he spat out blood.

“What? He… Help me.” As the knight reached towards his healers, a mighty clay wall shot upwards, blocking their spells, before making three more walls to gain more time, as Terran shot another tendril towards the skull of the knight.

And without any ceremonious crap, a clay rod pierced the eye of the knight, passing all the way through, exiting through the back of the cranium, as his head lulled back, as the clay spike softened, he dropped the walls, revealing the groups dead comrade to them.

"Who's next?"
