"We can be lovers..."

"We can be lovers..." You mumble out of your mouth without realizing it. Ash's eyes went wide and their face became red as she looks at you. "What did you just say, Alex!" She asks demanding from you. Your face becomes red and you try to change the topic.

"S-so you got the notecard for the midterms?" You asked nervously. Ash punch your arm hard. "Alex! Tell me the truth, did you say that we can be lovers?" She asked nervously. You simply nod your head as you can't muster out a word.

You close your eyes waiting for the reality of being rejected. The only thing you hear was Ash squealing. When you open your eyes you see Ash smiling and looking at you with a star in her eyes.

"Oh god, I thought I was out of your league!" Ash says admittedly, you see her start to fiddle around her thumb. "Alex your like really, really attractive... I-I thought I didn't get a chance with ya..." She says blushing, hearing this new news your face starts to become flustered too. "I-I thought you only viewed me as your best friend..." You say admitting out loud.

"Oh god no! You don't know hard it is walking right next to you. Just wanting to grab and hold your hands." Ash says out loud. With both of your just blushing. You started to laugh at this situation. "Oh god, I can't wait to see Dakota's reaction."

You then hear the bell ring ending the class period. When you get up, both you and Ash were silent just standing there blushing. "Do you want to hold hands?" You say breaking the silence. Ash simply nods and holds your hands as you walk towards lunch.
