What next?
"Select Your Class"
Timothy rubbed his eyes at it adjusted to the sudden shift in setting. He was standing in a large room. It was completely empty, save for a wooden floor, white walls, a white ceiling and windows displaying the white void from before. On the floor was a white circle that seems to surround Timothy and would move with him when he walked.
A screen appeared in the top left of Timothy's peripheral vision.

Timothy blinked, and as if the screen read his mind (thought it could have, since the game directly plugged into his brain), the Status tab was selected.

Timothy checked through the rest of the other tabs. "Skills" and "Magic" were completely empty, and "Inventory" had just one item in it.

"Select Your Class" said the voice from before.
Surrounding Timothy appeared a series of mirrors that towered over him and filled the entire room. Timothy looked through every mirror in the room (the number of them reaching double-digits), each of his reflections each wearing a different outfit or had some cosmetic changes to his body.
Apparently, he was supposed to select an outfit made to evoke a certain Fantasy class. There was an outfit that made him look like a Knight, a Wizard, a Barbarian, a Doctor (one outfit had him in a bird mask, the other in a white labcoat and a head mirror), a Rogue, a Pirate, even a few out-of-genre options like a superhero or a space invader.
Each description gave a color epitaph of how this kind of class fit within the context of this fictional world, and it displayed the items and weapons and how it would effect his stats.
