"... what?" I ask, taken aback by my mother's blunt refusal to help me get clothed."

"I said no. I will not help you get clothes." my mom says with a serious face.

"Seriously? Mom, I'm NAKED, and I literally don't own clothes anymore! You have to help me get dressed, I have to be at school in less than an hour!" Now I'm pissed. I put my hands on my hips, my classic pose for when I'm about to speak my mind. Normally it's not an issue, but being naked I forgot that I now am putting my boobs and crotch on full display, causing my mom to raise an eyebrow.

"And that's why I can't help you. You chose to give up your clothes. You chose to be naked. All because of a stupid game. I personally don't care what you wear, but I can't encourage such rash gambling behavior. If you wagered your clothes to Ashley and lost, that's on you. I can't bail you out of a bad bet, especially one that you suggested yourself. A good parent teaches their child that in the real world, actions have consequences. Be glad it was just clothes, and just your sister in your house; imagine if you lost thousands of dollars at a casino! Maybe this is a good lesson for you to learn to be more responsible when you gamble." my mother lectures me.

I am stunned by my mother's response. Was she seriously going to make me stay naked just to prove a point?

"You can't be serious mom! I know it was a mistake to gamble away all my clothes, but I was just so caught up in the game. I promise I'll be more responsible, just give me something to wear!" I plead

My mom just shakes her head.

"Sorry Em, but I've already made my decision."

"You can't expect me to just walk around naked! What about school? I need clothes to go to school!"

"I'm not saying you have to stay nude, dear, I'm just saying I won't help you find clothes. If you manage to get clothes I won't stop you."

I roll my eyes.

"Whatever mom, I'll find some myself!" I say as awkwardly shuffle past her into the laundry room, slightly brushing my nipples against her shirt. My mom just shrugs and throws my bedsheet into the laundry machine and turns it on, locking me out of my only known cover.

Shit, I should have just grabbed that back while we were talking.

I look around and see no clothes on the floor or on top of the washer or dryer. Must be in the dryer.

I sigh and open the dryer, praying there was at least something to shield my nudity from the world.
