"My pronouns are she/her."

You think about going to all of your accounts, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok... and changing your pronouns to "she/her".

Because that's what you are, isn't it?

And you know, in your heart, that's who you've always been, isn't that right?

And you change the signature line for all of your e-mail, both your personal signature as well as your work signature... to say "Pronouns: she/her".

Because, you want everyone to know you're a woman now.

And you think to yourself - this is forever. How embarrassing would it be to change back? It would be impossible. Way too embarrassing.

You are she/her now, forever, aren't you? To everyone? To all your family, to everyone at work, to all your friends, even those who have known you as Paul since forever, even strangers you just meet... to everyone, you will be Jennifer from now own.
