"My Turn"

With unnatural reflexes, the creature lunged forward and engaged the two men. She blocked Derryl's axe with her weapon easily, her tail spinning and catching Vurk off-guard, sending him rolling along the ground. She focused on Derryl, fighting him with quick attacks that kept him from blocking properly. He was strong but not fast enough, taking hit after hit to his armor. Meanwhile, Arianna tried to focus energy to hit her again but she didn't want to risk hitting Derryl.

As Vurk started to get back up, the Derryl finally managed to get a swing in. This caused the creature to backflip away from his attack... and land right on Vurk's back, knocking him down again. Without hesitation, she thrust her blade down into the back of his neck, killing him easily.

"Vurk!" Derryl fumed with rage as he charged forward, not thinking about his attack. Arianna called out his name to try and get him to think but it was too late. The creature lunged forward to meet Derryl, a move he wasn't anticipating. He didn't have the time to swing his blade and he fell backwards as the creature tackled him, her blade piercing a joint in his armor. She stood up slowly, eyeing the last two.

"My mistress only needs the human but she'd be happy to have a dark elf as well. Surrender and I'll let you keep your gear."

Arianna growled and pushed Rose back a little further, blue light emanating from her hands. She thrust them down into the sky, causing dark clouds to form overhead. Rose watched as it started to rain, lightning coming from the dark clouds and striking at the creature.

It was impossible that the thing could move faster than the lightning but she seemed to be able to. She jumped and dodged the lightning strikes, slowly making her way towards the pair. Rose saw why Arianna couldn't hit the thing. She was aiming for where it was instead of where it was gonna be.

"Arianna, blast this!"

As the dark elf looked at the human, Rose pulled out a vial of pure red liquid. Without waiting for the girl to acknowledge, Rose threw the vial straight forward, right where the creature was about to dodge to. The lightning came down and hit the vial, causing the red substance to glow and explode outwards, knocking everyone and everything away from it.

Rose and Arianna flew backwards slightly but the creature took the majority of the explosion. She landed about 100 feet back, smoke coming off her body.

Rose grinned as she watched the thing lay there, unmoving. "We did it, Arianna!" But as she looked over to the dark elf, she saw that the girl was knocked out. She lay on the ground, her head against a rock, her eyes closed. There was a bit of blood but she was still breathing. Thank the Gods she was alive.

But as she went to move towards Arianna, she heard coughing from across the way. Looking over, she saw the woman slowly stand up, regaining her balance. She glared at Rose, chuckling softly.

"Been a while since I've had a fight. But now it's over."

She ran forward, charging straight at Rose. The human moved next to Arianna and tried to wake her up but the girl was knocked out cold. She wasn't getting up any time soon. So Rose grabbed Arianna's dagger from her belt and turned towards the creature.

Too late, the creature caught Rose's hand with her tail and grabbed her neck with her free hand, lifting her up off the ground. She stared into Rose's eyes as the girl struggled, trying to get out of her grip. The knife dropped from her hand as her consciousness began to fade. The creature just smiled at her calmly.

"Don't worry... you'll come to love her as I do."

And with that, she fainted.
