Defending your option you explained more to Dakota. "I know it sounds weird. It just when we were in middle school she was pretty hot. She was like those celebrity crushes. I know it sounds wrong considering how she treats me now." You say in your defense.

"Yeah, it sounds wrong! Consider how she has been treating you this past for years." Dakota says raising his voice. He then sighs and calms himself down.

Wanting to talk about a different topic you and Dakota goof around during the whole time. Not really paying attention to the class lecture. When the bell rings you and the rest of the class exit the room quickly wanting to get out. While walking with Dakota down the hallways you see Veronica talking to the new student James.

"Check it out. I think Veronica found herself a new victim," Dakota says pointing it out. You see Veronica brushing her hair behind her ears and James talking to her.
