"I have a date!"

You reply, feeling a tinge of jealousy and arousal, "that's great baby, but I thought you had plans for us..."

"I do, remember Shari?" she replies.

"No..." you text back. Now, you're confused and curious what she's getting at.

"My friend from nursing school, the one who dropped out to strip and be a camgirl?" You still have no idea who she's talking about.

"Not ringing a bell".

"Ugh..." Alice sends you a picture. It's an old selfie of her with a skinny, black-haired, heavily tattooed, woman with a Bettie Page-style haircut, with piercing blue eyes, a very cute face, and thick, pouty, lips. She's wearing retro-style makeup and is topless, showing off chest, under-boob, and full sleeve tattoos. Long, pointy, erect nipples sit on the center of her small breasts, and each nipple is pierced with a bar with a dangling chain.

Alice sends you a follow-up text, "that was from a topfreedom protest two years ago don't ask".

You reply, "nope, still don't remember".

She texts back, "I know for a fact you met her before, either way you're going on a date with her tonight. She's open minded and cool with what we're doing, and she's looking forward to seeing you again."

You're not sure what to think about your fiance setting up a blind date for you with a stripper, to keep you company while she goes out and gets herself laid. Part of you realizes at least half of that is the fantasy of many guys, part of you feels Alice just might be going a little crazy, and another part of you feels this situation is getting rapidly out of hand.

You're not sure why, but you text back, "she isn't expecting anything to happen tonight is she?"

Alice texts back, "it's your choice and whatever the two of you end up doing tonight is your business. ;)"

You reply, "what about your date? What plans do you have?"

A couple minutes pass, and Alice replies, "that's a secret but I'm really nervous, and whatever she and I end up doing tonight is our business. ;)"

You nearly drop the phone, and reply back, "what? She? I thought you didn't like women."

Alice texts back, "I never really thought about it before but I want to know for sure. You never know unless you try."

You text her back, "okay baby, I love you either way. Have fun."

A minute passes, and she replies, "thank you for supporting my decision, that really helps. I love you too". Alice texts you Shari's number in case you need to contact her, and to meet her at 7:00 at One Joystick Bandit, one of those hipster microbrew arcade bars that have been popping up everywhere over the past few years. You sigh, resigning yourself to an evening of young adult stereotypicality for Alice's sake, working through the rest of your day.

Luckily, your boss hits you with a sudden load of take-home work shortly before quitting time, telling you to get it done before Monday and giving you a convenient out if you decide to bail on the date. You end up working late to sort it all out, and end up texting Shari to let her know you may be late.

"It's Alice's fiance, we're supposed to be going on a date tonight?" you text her.

A couple minutes later, you get a rapid series of replies, "yeah I remember you". "Looking forward to meeting again". "Running late though just now getting ready. See you there." For good measure she sends you a selfie of her in her bathroom, smiling at the camera and now sporting a high side bun hairstyle, and multiple piercings in each ear. She doesn't seem to have put on makeup yet, and you see her face is slightly, attractively, freckly.

You reply, "okay, looking forward to it". You finish your work, and get up from the desk. You don't have time to go home and change, but you at least freshen up in the men's room before leaving the office. You end up getting caught in the end of rush hour traffic, further delaying you from getting to the arcade bar in time.
