Shari cuts you off, "no, it's cool. Like I said, I'm 'whatever' with it. I don't take that stuff personally, I get plenty of dick. I'm perfectly happy just hanging out, believe it or not. It's something I don't get to do often."

"Really?" you ask. "You must have plenty of friends".

"I do," she says, "friends and a support network. But they're either in the sex industry, or have nothing to do with it and tend to get uncomfortable when I bring it up. And guys...shit. Most guys find out what I do, they either get all excited and just want to fuck, or try to be the knight in shining armor. It's nice hanging out with someone I can talk to and just be myself."

You're about to say something, when Shari says, "I'll be right back, I gotta use the bathroom. Kill your beer, let's watch some shows after." Shari walks into the bathroom and shuts the door, and you finish your beer. When she comes out, she asks, "you watch Day of Honor?"

"Yeah, I just started. You watch it?"

"Hell yeah," she says. "Did the tattoos, piercings, video games, and porn give you the impression I'm into rom-coms?"

"Guess not," you concede. You go to the bathroom while Shari shuts the lights off and gets the streaming service loaded in her bedroom. You go in, and she pats the side of the bed, pulling up the covers and fluffing some pillows. You get in next to her, and she rests her head on your shoulder while you watch the television.

Her closeness and the occasional peek down her shirt leave you with a hard-on you know she has to have noticed, but you don't make a move and neither does she. The **** leaves you with a warm, hazy, feeling, and after a few minutes your erection fades as you watch the show with her. Before long, you're too sleepy to continue watching, and close your eyes.
