"......RIGHT NOW?!?"

Shane had his eyes wide open as he realized in horror that they would lose the race without even participating if they didn't hurry.

"Guess we're going to have a warm up. Relay track! Now!"

Gale reacted fast as he pushed his to friends towards the track. Shane immediately followed up and ran with his him while Sylvia took a few seconds to register the info. The stress and adrenaline suddenly hit her as she hopped once and sprinted with incredible speed towards their destination. Gale and Shane were close behind her but couldn't quite catch up until they reached the inscription control stand. Behind the table was a Holstaur with strange yellow eyes, resting his head on his hand and with a rather bored expression:

-"How can I help you?"

-"We gotta get to the Relay race RIGHT NOW!"

The Holstaur jumped in surprised at Shane's outburst. He fiddled around to get some documents and took a close look at each of their faces. While he was doing that, Gale couldn't help but start some small talk:

-"Hmmm....this isn't your body right? Your eyes remind me of a demon. Pretty nice, how did you get it?"

-"Oh my god! Someone finally realized! Yeah, he's a friend of mine and totally lost a bet in the dulluhan fencing competition. I got his body for the afternoon. You can't believe how tight my underwear feels right now!"

The Holstaur, which was now revealed to be a Demon gave Gale a grin, happy that someone complimented him on his prize. Shane simply stared at his friend, silently asking why in the hell he was talking when they were in such a hurry.

"OK, the race is just about to start. I would normally have to screen you to check that you aren't under someone else's influence but you fine people seem to be in quite a hurry. So here is your team number. Just head to your lanes in position yourselves, the first runner has to be in the booth at the starting line so they put on the team skin. Good luck!"

The Demon gave them each a blue sticker with the number 54 on it and a wide smile, proof of his sympathy. Shane grabbed his sticker and pulled Sylvia, who was catching her breath, towards the track. Gale joined them shortly after waving goodbye at his new acquaintance. The human then gave his partners orders of where to position themselves while they all put on the blue 54 on their chests:

-"Ok, Gale, you're second. Just run at a constant speed during your turn, as fast as you can but constant, remember. Sylvia, you're third. Unlike Gale, you need to go all out as soon as you can, whether it's to catch up to someone or to create distance. I'll be first. Go!"

With that, Shane sends them off to take their places on the track while he ran towards his booth. They seemed to be lucky enough to arrive on time. The Merman and Wererabbit easily reached their spots on the field while Shane entered the booth. He had a few minutes to put on his skin and get accustomed to it. Now the question is, what did he get?

"Please god, give me something reasonable....."
