Henry Davids is an archaeology student, and he has a problem. While being lowered into an archeological digsite his harness snapped and now he’s fallen down from everything he knows, into a world where twisted monster-men walk the streets with mutated peasants and mystic courtesans, where giants creatures that twist the mind out of shape tower over the streets, behind the great factories billowing smoke across from which the ladies of the night ply their trade. This is the empire of Zargothiiz, a nation in a world gone mad, one which Henry must navigate while dealing with his increasingly intense urges.
