First of all HUGE SPOILER WARNINGS FOR FINAL FANTASY XIV STORMBLOOD AND ONDWARDS if you haven't played the game and don't want to be spoiled. The World of Final Fantasy XIV has a ton of potential for Mind Control oriented smut, yet so little of it exists. The approach of this story line is that some Garlean researchers were close to understanding tempering and adjecent effects tinkering with one's soul can have, and just with a small nudge of plot they could just crack the technology right. How would the World of Eorzea turn out from there on?
