What is Time

Nothing.

In the begging there was nothing, no space, no people, no time, no anything, and yet it was all there. everything existed and and at the same time nothing existed. It all existed everywhere and at every point in what we call time, but there was still nothing. And then something happened and bang.

Then the big bang happened.

Everything was there and expanding in space. and because all of space existed before the big bang it expanded outwards infinitely. At the same time an infinite amount of energy was also released, and now the universe exists as it does growing outwards with an infinite amount of stuff in it.

Some of this stuff went on to form the milky way galaxy, the solar system, Earth, and then humans with such scarce odds. As it stands humans are the only sentient beings in the galaxy, and with sentience comes society and social constructs. One of these constructs was the idea of time being linear or the idea that time only goes in one direction.

But as you have discovered, that is not the case, you have discovered that every moment since the big bang to the theoretical end to the universe has already happened. The future does not exist as it has already happened and there is no past as the past is happening infinitely. If that sounds confusing you're not alone as the idea is alien to humans, until now.
