Unlikely heroes

For centuries, legendary heroes have started their journeys and adventures by joining the prestigious guild Flaming Phoenix, from the most powerful warriors to the most purehearted of clerics. The place accepts any adventuring class to join, either on their own or as part of a team, so they can start by taking the quests that come by the dozens each day at their bulletin board.

For most of its history, the guild had been restricted to a certain kind of race that they would accept joining. At first it was exclusive to elves, but over time, they ended up opening inscriptions towards humans, halflings, dwarves, and giants.

Recently, the most controversial decision was passed by the newest guildmaster, the Elf paladin Sakaria, and that was that anyone from a sapient race could become a member of the guild, she argued that the guild had been gatekeeping for too long, many protested but she pressed on with her decision.

Despite all the discriminating policies that the guild used to have being removed there was at least a month before anyone from the most bestial races to dare to try to sign up into the guild considering that they knew how racist and clasist most people were there, the one that dared to venture despite the oposition they may encounter actually decided to join especifically because of that, figuring that people like them would never stop being discriminated if there wasn't any of them fighting back against that, as they walked towards the entrance's desk many of the guildmemebers stared at the first prospect from the new initiative with glares that went from curious to furious.
