"Man, you're hopeless. You can't take her to a bookstore on the first date." Hide tells you

"Why not? She might think it's an awesome idea." you argue

"Look, don't do it. Trust me. She'll think your lame."

"Then I'll take her to Big Girl for hamburgers." Hide laughs at your remark "I'm being serious, Hide. Quit laughing."

"I know. That makes it even funnier. You can't take her to a place called Big Girl." he says

"Since when are you the expert? Fine, and where would you take a date?" you ask

"That's easy. I'd pay attention to what the girl's into, and then pick a place I think she'd enjoy." he tells you

"Such as?" you ask

"Uh... You know. Girly places." he says

"You don't even have a clue, do you?" you ask him

"If I did, I'd be out with a hot chick right now instead of sitting here looking at your ugly mug." he complains

"Yeah. You've got a good point." you tell him

"So who is she?" he asks, getting in your face "Which one of this chicks is your special lady friend? Oh, is that her?" he asks, looking at a waitress

"No. But she is pretty cute." you tell him

"Excuse me, miss!" Hide yells, getting her attention "Can I get a cappuccino? You want one, James?" he asks, planning something

"No, I'm still working on mine." you say, taking a sip of your coffee

"So, one cappuccino." the waitress says, writing down his order

"Oh, and what's your name?" he asks her

'Here we go.' you think

"I'm, Touka Kirishima." she answers, nervously

"Let me just cut to the chase! Are you seeing anyone?" he asks getting in her face

"I'm sorry, for my friend." you tell her as she runs off

"Man, what a hottie." he says

You hear the bell to the door ring, you and Hide look to see who it is. "That's her." you tell him

"You don't have a chance." Hide says, sitting back down "You and her would be like 'Beauty and the Bonehead'." He tells you

"Don't you mean the 'Beast'?" you ask

"Whatever. Now that I've seen you lovesick, I've got for days. I'm going to jet." He says, getting up

"What your leaving?" you say looking at him

"I'll see you later, Touka." he exclaims, giving her a wink

"Good luck, James!" he yells getting your attention "You're gonna need all you can get, buddy!"

You open up your book right where you left off, you look over at the girl to see she just pulled out the same book, 'Egg of the Black Goat'!

"Oh, man, you are one lucky bastard, you know that?" Hide asks you

"No joke. Who would know that she'd like the same author that I do?" you say, biting into a burger

"What's the authors name again? Sen Takasaki?" he asks

"Sen Takatsuki. And get this, we made plans to go to the bookstore on Sunday." you inform him

"Seriously? That sounds as exciting as watching paint dry to me. But, you kids have fun." he says, hanging up

"Thanks, man."
