Thought placer
What if you had the power to place one thought in someone else's mind?
Chapter 1
by IgnusObscuro
You wake up one morning with a headache. You've been grounded for weeks, your hot, redheaded girlfriend Hailey broke up with you, your grades are falling, basically, your life sucks. Your killer headache is just the last little bit that pushes you over the edge.
"Nick! Breakfast is ready." Your mom says after opening your door.
"Just shut the fuck up mom, I'll be down in a minute!" You lash out.
"There is no place for language like that in this household! You know, I thought five weeks was enough, now consider it six!" She yells back at you as she slams the door.
Great, you think to yourself, just great. I've been through a lot mom, can't you just cut me some slack!
Without warning, she opens the door to your room again and says in a much softer voice.
"You've been through a lot Nick, can't I just cut you some slack? I uh," she says, suddenly pausing, "I guess you're not grounded anymore. Come on down when you're ready."
That was almost word for word what you just thought. You decide to try it again. Mom, you practically yell in your mind, can't you give me $100? Your headache intensifies to the point where you almost can't bear it. Must have just been a fluke.
Before you know it, your sister Macie appears in the doorway. She has long light brown hair, bright green eyes, and a fairly nice rack which, of course, you never think about like that because she's your sister right?
"Did that just happen?" She says. "Mom's always been so strict before."
"Yeah, it did." You say. "I can't believe it either."
Then, a wicked idea pops into your head. It worked on mom once. Go fuck yourself! You think loudly, hoping your head doesn't throb again.
"I uh, think I'll take a shower before breakfast today." She says as she runs off to the bathroom.
Strange, you think. She always has breakfast first. You hear the shower running and decide to head over to listen. You can't hear much over the shower water running, but you do hear your sister moaning slightly over it.
It worked! It actually freaking worked. No headache this time either. You try it again. Unlock the door! Then you feel that sharp pain in your head.
You're not an idiot, you figure you can only do it once to each person. It's got to be the best thing that ever happened to you. It'd be a real shame not being able to do it more than once in your whole life though. Maybe it wears off after a while. You decide to test it on your mom again after school. After eight hours or so, it might work on her again.
How's school?

Rather than an all consuming control, what if you could control each mind for one thought at a time?
