The strongest

‘I’m so boooored, I keep saying this to myself over and over again and nothing has changed for the past few months. Everything comes and goes just as normal and normal is getting extremely boring. I need some spice, don’t you?’

‘Huh, yeah yeah sure’ she says

Not listening to you again, You’re so sick of this. ‘Okay, I’m going out, I look cute’ you look at her waiting for a reaction to this sudden change of energy but, obviously, no reaction.

You leave wearing a cute mid-length sky blue dress on, with lettuce hemming and thin straps. It’s the middle of summer you should be enjoying yourself, when you leave you think to yourself where are you actually going. You decide to just walk and see where fate takes you.

Walking past the boxing gym near your house you notice an unfamiliar face, he’s tall and exactly your type. You notice he’s wearing headphones and looks quite tired, you also notice that you have been staring for quite a while so you decide to look away.

He’s walking in front of you and hasn’t noticed he’s dropped a boxing glove, his music is probably loud you think to yourself. You quickly pick up the glove but get a little scared to tap him and give it to him. You do it anyway and try not to overthink. ‘Wow’ you mumble to yourself after feeling his arm for just one second.

He turns around so fast you didn’t even see it coming, your heart beats fast. You see him searching for who tapped him as he doesn’t realise you’re all the way down there. You get a little triggered at the fact that he didn’t see you because you’re so short, however, you compose yourself and say

‘I’m down here love’ he chuckles and takes both headphones out. ‘You dropped your glove’ you’re attention is then drawn to how long he’s kept eye contact for so you look away and push the glove towards him. He gently takes the glove from your hand and says in the softest but firm voice ‘thank you…love’ you laugh and begin to walk away, and that’s when he grabs your arm.
