The path to domination
With great power comes great irresponsibility
Tiny raindrops were trickling down from the dirty window creating tiny trails of cleanliness on their way down. Just one more reason not to wipe them. The rain would do the job for me. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the rest of my tiny apartment.
Mountains of unwashed dishes were piling in the sink, making me wonder how I even managed to gather that many plates and pots in the first place. My trash can was already filled way beyond its limit causing its content to spill on the floor.
Streaks of mold were creeping up and down the walls, probably more alive than myself at this point.
Yeah, this flat was hopeless. But it's not like I could afford any other place. Ever since my Ex had kicked me out, everything had gone to waste.
Penelope had been my first girlfriend we met during our last semester of uni. At that time I couldn't believe how I had managed to convince a woman like her to be my girlfriend but somehow it had worked.
Oh, how naive I had been.
After graduating we quickly moved in together. Penny had always known what she wanted and how to get it. So I wasn't surprised when she got hired into a managerial position right after leaving university.
I, for myself, had not been that lucky. After not managing to get a job right from the start. I settled for the glorious position of door-to-door insurance salesman.
Truly what I had been dreaming of all my life...
But Penny had been raking in the big bucks and I really loved her at the time, so I was fine with letting her be the breadwinner.
At first, everything seemed to be fine. I had a gorgeous, smart and charismatic girlfriend with great prospects ahead of her. Our apartment was decent and we were far from having money problems. Then Penny started repeatedly coming home late. Eventually she spent several nights someplace else. At first I was pretty naive about it. Surely, my beloved girlfriend wouldn't cheat on me.
Then, after a long day at work, I caught her riding our neighbor on our couch. But instead of showing even the slighest bit of remorse, she simply turned around and said: "Wait in the kitchen! I'll be done in a minute" Even then I probably would've swallowed it. Settled with the situation like the pathetic cuck I was. My wife was successful and good looking. If she wanted to fuck men, that weren't her very average looking boyfriend, who was I to say no to her?
But when she finally entered our kitchen, she simply said. "Brandon, this isn't working anymore. You'll have to move out by the end of the week"
My world was shattered. I had built my whole life around being at her side. And now I had lost the only thing that mattered. After that, I fell into lethargy. I could barely keep myself afloat and yet I still watched my life burn to the ground.
I shifted around on my couch wailing in self pity. Here I was two years later with nothing to show for myself. I was a pathetic disgrace.
bzzzzzztt
My phone vibrated. I didn't really have any friends. Never was a social guy. That could only mean work.
I looked at the screen.
I groaned. A meeting with my boss never meant anything good. Fortunately, I didn't spend to much time at the company office but Evelyn Palmer made sure that I would rather spent my time in hell.
That woman was a dragon in an unfortunately very pleasant to look at human form. However, my sales record had not been pristine especially in the last two years. Therefore I couldn't deny that I felt a little scared at the prospect of having a one on one meeting with my sadistic boss.
But it's hardly like my life could get any worse.
WHAM WHAM WHAM
A series of loud slams against my door almost made me fall from the couch."
SMITH! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"
Seems like I jinxed myself there. I took my time getting to the door while the knocks and shouts only seemed to grow more impatient. When I finally opened my door, a familiar face greeted me.
Well, greet was quite the euphemism in this case. More like stared daggers through the very essence of my soul ready to rip me apart into tiny pieces until there was nothing left of me.
"About time. You still haven't payed your rent for this month, Smith!"
She wrinkled her nose and I had the decency to feel at least slightly ashamed at my desolate state. My smell probably also didn't help with my low sales numbers...
To put it simply, my landlord was another dragon in my life. Sure, I wasn't the most consistent person when it came to paying my rent in time but she seemed to derive sadistic pleasure from reminding me of it. And it's not like it was my fault, that I couldn't get more people to take out unnecessary insurances.
Getting yelled at had annoyed me quite a bit but I couldn't deny that Briana Reynolds was an absolute bombshell. She was probably around my age in her mid-twenties. How such a young woman came into possession of a whole apartment building even though it was a crappy one I did not know.
Even while frowning her face was a sight to behold gently framed by her long hazelnut hair.
Oh, how I would love to kiss those lips. My gaze slowly went lower grazing over her ample curves barely hidden underneath her black top. All I had to do was reach out and give them a proper feel, then push her over my kitchen counter pull down her pants and...
"SMITH! Earth to Smith!" She rudely wakened my from my little daydream. She glared at me.
"Smith, I have had enough. You don't pay your rent, this appartment looks like even a pig would be ashamed to live there and several female tenants have already complained about you being a fucking creep. You are the perfect reminder as to why I don't rent my flats to men. I don't know what devils possessed me to even give you this apartment in the first place."
She huffed. For a second I thought she might actually kick me in the shin.
"Whatever. I have had it with you. If you don't pay your rent within the next fourteen days, I don't want to see you here ever again. I already can't stand having you around."
Without waiting for me response, she turned around and went up the stairs, leaving me to stare at her perfect round butt jiggling gently in her sweatpants. What if I gave it just a gentle slap...
I closed the door barely able to comprehend what she had just told me. I sagged down on my sofa. Another day, another low. I probably should have felt angry with her tone and choice of words. Angry that she saw me simply as a nuisance. Angry, that she called me a creep simply because I was a man (even though she was right. I most definitely was a creep) And yet all I felt was...
My erection? Damn, seems like I was really understimulated. I couldn't even recall the last time I had gotten laid. Just thinking about Miss Reynolds and my bitchy boss had made me equally as horny as it made me angry.
Well, drowning in self pity could wait a couple of minutes. First, I need to make sure to put this sweet image in my head of those women on their knees grovelling in front of my cock to good use...
After rubbing one out, post nut clarity hit me hard. My whole body was overcome by the sudden urge to get out. Shortly after pulling up my pants I was running down the stairs. I almost crashed into my neighbor Sarah, who lived on the same floor as myself.
She gave mit a look of contempt while I only gave her massive tits a good stare just like the gentlemen I was.
I really shouldn't be wondering why I didn't have a girlfriend.
And so, soon, I found myself walking through the dimly lit streets on this rainy evening.
It didn't take long for me to be painfully reminded of my pitiable condition. I had never been a sports guy and the last years hadn't been kind to me. Maybe another reason why Penelope had broken up with me.
Just like I did every once in a while, I started to ponder. What if I had been more ambitious in my life? What if I had hit the gym more often? Why was I always the one to bow to women and not the other way round?
Stupid bitches.
I gritted my teeth and feel back into a moderate jogging pace. At least tonight I would give myself the illusion of productivity.
Even though I was in an urban area silence surrounded me. It was calming, almost soothing.
Maybe tomorrow would be a better day after all. Maybe my boss would offer me a great opportunity that would propel my pathetic career into unexpected heights. Unlikely, but the odds were never zero.
I took another turn. I had never been to this part of the city and my sweaty body was yearning for some rest. However, rescue was near. From across the street the neon signs of a supermarkt sang their siren's call to me. I didn't need to think twice. A cold coke would do wonders now.
Without thinking I stepped on the road my brain fully occupied with the thought of a nice and cool soft drink. In my distracted state I didn't realize the danger I had just put myself in.
I turned my head just in time to see the blinding lights of a truck speeding at me with undodgeable speed.
My vision went white. Then the car hit me...
