The good guy

"Jaclyn don't call me a good guy." She is a little taken back by Kyle's sudden retort.

"I never have liked that term. Despite always trying to do the right thing I just feel as if there is a bad stigma around it. You have known me for how many years now?" Kyle sunk himself down into their couch. He was half pouting half frustrated.

Jaclyn jokingly looks blankly off into the void and then sarcastically says " let's see here now... Add the three, carry the two, multiply by six, divide by zero... Well I guess it just feels like forever.."

" Oh har har... It has only been seven years since our freshman year of college." Despite only knowing each other through college and then some they had a close friendship. They knew almost everything about each other. Often more than they would like to admit.

They share a cozy two bedroom apartment in the same town as the college they attended. After they finished college they moved in together because it only made sense seeing they would rather spend their spare time with no one else. Well that is mostly true. Jaclyn has been seeing her off and on again boyfriend for four years now. Her boyfriend got a marketing job out of town right after college the next state over. It has been hard on Jaclyn but she is also caught up with him.

"Well buddy ol pal of mine what are you doing this weekend?"
