The Unforgiving Wasteland

You are born into this world just like many others screaming, naked, and very alone. Your mother's weathered and desiccated body performing its final task of bringing life into this desolate world finally gives out and falls just another corpse to litter the wasteland. All that leaves in this small part of the desert is you, a screaming little baby drawing attention from far and wide.

The wasteland is filled with many strange things there are horrifying natural disasters and beasts to make your skin crawl but still, the most horrifying thing is humanity which remains within this broken world. There are many choices ahead of you if you survive at all, who will you become, what will drive you, and what will lead to your demise?

Alright, then enough of that hopefully all of that sad and melodramatic crap is behind us. So let me say, Hello! New wastelander! I hope you're ready because this world is not kind. There are many difficulties spread far and wide and who you are and who you will become is placed almost entirely upon your own shoulders and the ever-shifting winds of fate.

There are horrifying Monsters which are mutated creatures that somewhat resemble the life forms we use to call animals but it is hard to recognise some of them. All of this is because of the Blackfire. The Blackfire was released 200 years ago no one really knows who did it but it completely destroyed our world. The black fire burns like nothing else and is still burning the great cities to this day the mutations are caused by the fumes that roll off of the cities and across the world. I'm sure that there was some type of scientific people at some point who understood why it happens but they are probably all dead because being really good at science usually means that you're bad at other things and knowing exactly how to calculate nuclear fission would be useful probably but not nearly as useful as being able to hunt and run away from terrifying monsters.

It also causes quite a lot of unnatural weather patterns huge sandstorms and massive rain storms which seemed to last for days at a time. Don't worry though humans weren't spared the mutations some of us have been turned into horrific mutated Monsters like the beasts. But the mutation doesn't always take our minds and some humans are just left with extra parts. For example, a couple of years ago I used to know a guy who was infected by staying in the dangerous areas for too long. One of his arms fell off and became a tentacle and what he got was actually pretty forgiving so you can imagine there are lots of strange things out there. The most common alterations are seemingly related to our sexual genetics it's not uncommon for women to grow male genitalia and vice versa for men.

But I'm sure you're worrying about how this is going to affect you after all you are a screaming little baby and probably going to either die by starving to **** or be eaten by some horrible monster. If that was the case we wouldn't be having this conversation because why would I bother talking to a dead person? So some great circumstance is going to save you or perhaps it will be a bad one, we will have to see.
