The Store that Wasn't
Chapter 1
by kendrabent
It is late on a Friday evening. Much later than you usually would get out of work, and you notice a storefront that you had never seen before. In fact, the building it is in seems entirely out of place from the bigger buildings all around it.
Usually very perceptive, you stare at the building as you approach it on your way home, certain you would have noticed such a stark contrast before. You berate yourself on not having noticed it prior to this evening, but not to harshly.
As you get closer, you can tell that the store has an open for business sign in the window, but everything else is curtained off by a black curtain.
You feel yourself being drawn to the store, What do you do?

You walk the same street every day to get to work, but today there is an new, dark, store front.
