The Ranch of Pain

Your dad said you needed some time outside technology. You were always on your phone and didn't even want to touch grass. So he decided he was going to send you to your grandpa's ranch. You tried to deny and resist, but when he told you he was going to stop paying for your college fee if you didn't go, you had no option but to accept.

You got in a bus and traveled to Montana, to a farm called Doe Ranch. You arrive at the old, weathered farmstead just as the sun begins to set, casting long shadows over the fields. You went to one of the two big houses and searched for your grandpa there, but couldn't find him anywhere.

Your aunt Thelma, told you that your grandfather was on a business trip, so you would be staying at her house for some time. You nodded and followed her to the other great house.
