The Old Swan Inn

"Dear would you remind me to buy some ale while im in town? We're almost out." John shouts from inside the storage area.

Mary stops cleaning the counter and adds ale to list on the counter. "Sure hon. Didn't you buy ale like a week ago?"

John enters the main hall of the inn." Yes i did but I heard from a couple of merchants that a new ore mine has been discovered nearby. If it is true then a lot of goblins and orcs will come to town for work and you know those creatures, they love to drink. and we cant really afford to lose them to the bars and taverns in the town."

Mary nods." Yeah you're right. Things have been tough lately. We could do with an influx of coin." She kisses John on the cheek before moving from behind the counter." I'm going to clean the rooms upstairs. It looks it might rain, we may have some customers who might need to spend the night."

The rest of the morning plays out normally. They have a few customers who want to have a drink and soon it is noon. John and Mary are preparing lunch when the door of the inn opens with a lot of noise.
