Chapter 1 by Chaser IV Chaser IV

Thanks to an old relative, you’ve never had to worry about house and home from a very young age. A twelve bedroom house has been in your family for generations and aside from the occasional update or repairs, it's never been on anyone’s mind for as long as you can remember. It’s a nice place, and with all the renovation that has gone into the house it is arguably better than a good number of celebrities’ homes.

From what you can remember, the house was built long ago specifically for your family. Some ancestor paid for the construction and intended for it to be where generation after generation of Rhodes children would be born and raised in, and where their children would eventually be born and raised in. All in all, it’s a house with a fair amount of history. At some point though, the Rhodes’s eventually drifted apart and spread further away from their roots. Eventually, fragments of the family got back together but by then no one was able to afford keeping up with the house. It wasn’t in great shape by the time you were born, but most of the major problems were tended to as early as possible. It wasn’t until recently though that the house got a major renovation. As such, it’s practically a brand-new house built in the shape of the old one. Everything is considerably more modern as a result.

Most of the funding came from you, but it's money well spent in your opinion. It’s not like you’re hurting for cash, although the bills for the house are a little too high for your tastes. Especially since you’re currently the only resident inside. You might own the house and the property it’s on, but the utilities for a house of that size are nothing to sneeze at either. It would definitely be easier on your finances if there were more people living in it to help pay the bills.

Before you can start renting out the place, you need to fill out a few more forms to complete the transition of ownership of the house from your grandfather to you. To start with, you need to put down your name, gender, age, current occupation, and sexual preference. You’re not entirely sure why they need to know that last one, but the sooner you fill out the paperwork, the sooner you can start placing ads for roommates.

For starters, what is your gender?
