The Internship

„And this will be your desk for the next three months.“ says Tom, the employee, who shows Mike around in the company, where he just started an internship. Mike sits down at his desk and hopes, that Tom would now explain him, what he has to do. „What are you doing? There's coffee to be made! The kitchen's over there.“ Mike starts going towards the door, Tom is pointing at. 'Great! First day as an intern and I'm already the coffee guy.' he thinks. In the kitchen, the annoyed intern starts making coffee, when he suddenly hears a voice behind him. „You must be the new intern.“ says a kind sounding woman. He turns around and says a beautiful blond woman with deep blue eyes, who he guesses is about 25 years old. „Yes, how did you know?“ he asks the woman. „Well it's not to hard to guess. I never saw you before and you are making coffee, so... new intern.“ „Yeah“ he says approving. „I'm Mike.“ „Casey“ she says, shaking his hand. "Want a cup?" Mike asks his new colleague. "Yeah sure." He pours coffee into a cup and hands it to Casey. They talk a bit about the company and Mike learns, that Casey is the leader of a new project, that will start in a few days. 'Wow, she really is an ambitious woman. So young and already has her own team working for her.' Mike thinks to himself. "I gotta go back now. I still have a lot of work to do, but if you make a new pot of coffee, tell me. It's pretty good." Casey says after a while. 'Shit! I've been here much too long.' Mike realizes. He takes another cup of coffee and goes back to his workplace. "Where have you been so long?" Tom asks as he sees Mike. "Making coffee." he answers and hands Tom the cup. Tom takes a sip, takes a skeptical look at Mike and ignores the fact, that Mike has been gone for a while. He explains Mike, what he has to do at his first days of the internship and leaves him alone. After a few minutes Mike already is bored of his task. It's some repetitive work on the computer, you don't need much brain for to do.
