Chapter 1 by Masterofboobs

Molly is a young, fairly normal, nerdy young woman. She doesn't have many friends, but her best buddies Edgar and Quinton are very dear to her. They often play D&D together and spend their afternoons together. Quinton and Edgar have a long history with Chris. Chris bullied them both brutally. So badly, in fact, that he even ended up in prison. Well… now he's free. Quinton is afraid that Chris will make a move on his mother. Weird, right? Why would he? He surely has better things to do. At least, that's what Molly thought before Quinton revealed that they had actually gone on a "date." Supposedly just to talk about sports. Quinton's mother, Mrs. Palmer, says he probably just wants to apologize.

But everyone knows that Chris is only doing this to keep tormenting Quinton… what a jerk…

Molly was glad that Chris had left Her alone. They had witnessed all his antics back then and were always afraid. After all, he was almost two heads taller than her and didn't hesitate to take another victim.

Now Molly strolled through the mall. She headed toward an RPG store. "To the Growing Hobbit," she muttered to herself. Funny name, she thought. She was looking at her phone rather dreamily when she was suddenly touched on the shoulder. "Hey Molly! Nice to see you, love!" It was Mrs. Palmer, Quinton's mother. Molly was surprised and stammered a little: "Hello, Mrs. P-Palmer! I hadn't even noticed you. I'm glad to see you too," she smiled.

"Molly, are you okay? You look so tired, honey... did you get enough sleep, or did something happen?" Mrs. Palmer asked, glancing slightly ahead. Molly blushed when she saw her cleavage. "Well, I didn't sleep well, and... and well..." "What's wrong?" Mrs. Palmer asked, concerned.

“It’s Quinton. Edgar and I are worried about him, since Chris is back—” Molly is interrupted by Mrs. Palmer. Like a machine, she replies immediately: “Chris has changed, he’s not like he used to be. He’s a new and even better person. Quinton will understand that soon, and I hope you will too. He knows he can’t do right by Quinton, but he helps me with exercise, for example! I’ve already lost four kilograms!”

Molly hadn’t expected this answer. They didn’t want to escalate the situation. “I know, Mrs. Palmer, but—” Molly swallowed. “We can’t forgive him so easily…”

Mrs. Palmer seems to have an idea: “All right, Molly. Wounds take a long time to heal.” “Thank you, Mrs. Palmer,” says Molly.

“Let’s talk about your sleep problems again. Have you ever tried meditation? I fall asleep so easily with it!” Molly shakes her head in disgust. "How about I send you an email describing the meditation? There's a video too! Please, Molly, let me help you." Mrs. Palmer practically begs Molly to accept her help.

Molly doesn't want to be rude, so she agrees.

After a brief exchange of email addresses, they say goodbye.

Molly feels a little uneasy and wants to write to Quinton, but she doesn't want him to feel worse. It will all work itself out soon.
