The Downfall of Beauty

Since the start of human society the usual was for beautiful people to have an advantage in life when compared to the regular fellow, this was thanks to the connection the Deity of Beauty made using looks and kind words to reel in the Deity of Victory to stay together, the Deity of Ugliness didn't like Beauty's almost monopoly on Victory's time.

There is a reason for this as the Deity of Beauty represents not only good looks but also values considered by the humans to be desirable to their development, such as kindness, teamwork, loyalty, the one that caused the problem, monogamy and others of the like, it was only natural for Victory to be attracted to Beauty and to stay with the deity, unlike the Deity of Ugliness who represented all values that in earth would be considered detrimental to human development by the majority of humans.

The jealousy of the Deity of Ugliness didn't go unnoticed to the Deity of Lust, who was one of the first companions of Ugliness and Beauty, a deal was made between the two of them, Lust would aid Ugliness to find balance in Victory's time by way of receiving power from Lust and Ugliness would allow the power Lust gave to increase the libido of Ugliness' chosen humans.

Whoever things don't always go as planned and Ugliness, confident with the power of Lust, gave to greed and not only gained the interest of Victory but also tarnished the name of Beauty and used the power to keep Beauty as powerless as a deity could be, now instead of a balance of Victory's time between Beauty and Ugliness the monopoly on Victory's time passed from one deity to another.

Lust, angry at the of power from Ugliness, cursed the chosen humans of Ugliness to only being able to get aroused by people of the same sex whether they were homosexual or not until the situation came back to normal, and it would do so eventually, as powerful the deities were they couldn't fight an status quo as old as the humans that gave them strength they could only change it for a couple hundreds years, maybe more, until humanity subconsciously decided to power up the right deities to return to the status quo.

As a result the chosen humans of the deity of Ugliness had an absurd advantage in the relationship dynamics against the chosen humans of the deity of Beauty that didn't correlate to the power Beauty had over Ugliness before, an increased libido towards the same sex and a higher chance to be successful at anything they set their minds to.

This is the story of the humans that lived during those hundreds of years, nothing for the deities but centuries for the humans.
