A Device That Promises Euphoria but Enslaves the Mind

I haven't created a new story in a very long time, and figured I'd give it a try again. This is a new idea I'm playing with, hope you enjoy.
The mind control device works by utilizing advanced technology to manipulate the user's brainwaves and alter their perceptions. When the user dons the VR glasses, they are immediately immersed in a highly addictive virtual environment that stimulates their senses and releases pleasurable chemicals in their brain. The power sent into the device determines how much effect it has, but the users don't know it until they try.
After repeated use of the device, the user becomes increasingly dependent on it, viewing the real world as dull and uninteresting in comparison. This dependency is further reinforced by the device's design, which makes it difficult for the user to stop using it once they start.
Power 1: The device begins to alter the user's perceptions, making them feel more relaxed and content. It creates a sense of euphoria, similar to what one might experience after consuming or . This power level is still relatively weak and does not cause any significant addiction.
Power 2: At this level, the device becomes highly addictive. The user experiences intense pleasure each time they use it, leading to compulsive behavior and a desire to use it more often. The virtual environment becomes more vivid and realistic, further blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. However, this power level does not yet allow for external control over the user after removing the device.
Power 3 is when they become to suggestion
Power 6 and beyond they are mind wiped.
The device also incorporates a unique feature where, upon removal, the user becomes briefly susceptible to external control. This vulnerability is due to the lingering effects of the device's manipulation of the user's brainwaves, leaving them open to suggestion for a brief period of time. As they use the device more and more, the longer the vulnerability will last.

The Cybernetic Mind Trap promises an escape from reality, but instead traps users within its virtual world. As they wear the device, their brains are manipulated, and they become addicted to its pleasures. However, the device also has a dark secret - upon removal, users become to external control for a brief period of time due to lingering effects on their brainwaves. The device's creator warns against its misuse, but the temptation of its alluring virtual reality proves too much for some to resist.
