The Creation of Adam and Eve

The Creation of Adam and Eve

A Harry Potter story

Chapter 1 by benolr benolr

(START DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES, MINISTRY OF MAGIC, LONDON, UK)

The Ministry of Magic was almost empty at this time of morning. In fact, most of the Ministry workers had yet to get out of bed, having most likely spent the weekend celebrating the birthday of the new Minister. Not much else could be expected so early on a Monday morning but there was at least one ministry worker who liked to get an early start.

Bright green flames erupted in one of the many fireplaces spread throughout the atrium of the Ministry of Magic, depositing a tall, well-built man with raven hair. He stumbled slightly but managed to keep his footing before turning quickly and heading for a lift.

The man, one Harry James Potter, stepped into an empty lift and reached for a bar along the side to keep his footing. "Level 9, Department of Mysteries," he stated to no-one in particular. Quite abruptly the lift jerked to a start and sped along to the designated floor.

The lift ground to a halt at the lowest level of the Ministry where the courtrooms and Department of Mysteries – a unique branch of the Ministry where only the Unspeakables could enter – was located.

Harry stepped out of the lift onto the smooth, obsidian floor. His piercing green eyes, that had become so well-known throughout the wizarding world, searched the long corridor for something, anything that was out of place but all he could see in the dim light was the solid black door at the end of the hall leading to the Department of Mysteries.

He briefly recalled racing through the plain black door back in his fifth year at Hogwarts before walking briskly forwards, past the numerous ornate doors leading to various courtrooms and with one hand reaching out and pushing his way through the entrance to the Department of Mysteries.

He stepped through into a large, circular room with over a dozen unmarked black doors lining the edges and stopped in the center of the room.

"Time Room," he stated.

One of the random doors immediately opened and Harry ventured in, closing the door as he went.

He had entered a large room with shelves upon shelves lined with strange, circular devices that had small hourglasses in the center. In one corner of the room stood a massive hourglass that seemed to be endlessly running sand upwards, instead of the regular downwards.

On the opposite side of the room, hunched over a desk, was a woman just a bit shorter than Harry with wavy, brown hair. She looked up as he entered and upon realizing who was else was in the room, her face broke into a wide grin.

"Harry!" she exclaimed, as she made her way over to him. He opened his arms wide, and she didn't hesitate to step into his embrace and give him a passionate kiss.

What seemed to be minutes later, they broke apart wearing matching grins. "Morning, love," Harry said, before leaning in for another kiss.

The second kiss was far shorter but still contained the same amount of passion and love. Harry ended the kiss and stepped back before looking at the desk his wife had come from. "So, same process this morning?" Harry asked to which his wife, Hermione Potter, grabbed his hand and started dragging him over to the desk.

"Actually, no," she happily replied.

"Oh?" Harry asked as he began to notice something.

"I've found something else we can try instead." Hermione said which began to draw Harry's attention further.

"Really?" Harry replied, not daring to get his hopes up.

"This way." Hermione said and thus began to lead to the Archway that she had been working on. Once they arrived, they got to a large device and with-it Harry began to grow curious. "Harry, I think I can feasibly time travel." Hermione said as she looked to Harry.

"Wait pardon me?" Harry asked with concern for his wife.

"I was dabbling with the Time Turners when something occurred to me." Hermione said as she looked to Harry. "With the Deathly Hollows it might feasibly be possible but it's a long and complicated explanation." Hermione said which got Harry most curious. "I was thinking maybe it's possible we can go back in time and change events." Hermione said as Harry looked to her in shock.

"Hermione, last I checked you told me changing your past was dangerous." Harry said recalling the time Turner incident.

"In most cases yes but that is because you have to make it back to the point in which you left originally and make sure things do not change." Hermione said as she recalled the Time Turner. "In this case its akin to creating a new timeline in the entirety." Hermione said which made Harry curious. "We can observe what happens and see what differences our choices can lead to." Hermione said which made Harry concern.

"Hermione this sounds a tad bit dangerous." Harry said while taking a seat.

"Well, you caught me at a good time, I was about to start the first test, but I need the Hollows to make it so." Hermione said which Harry found most curious.

"So, what did you plan to do?" Harry asked and thus Hermione gestured to several devices.

"Simply put I plan to open two rifts to the same coordinates but different time zones. There I'll send a note of sorts and then open it to receive a response." Hermione said as she found this fascinating. "All I need is the stone to power it and we'll be right as rain." Hermione said which Harry found concerning. He still had the hollows, but he was also curious about this.

"I suppose I can part with the stone." Harry said and thus he produced it from his necklace that he kept the stone in and handed it over to Hermione.

"Thank you, Harry." Hermione said while taking the stone and placing it where it needs to go. "Now we activate the runic arrays and get started." Hermione said and in turn she began her experiment. Harry moved over to the safety zone so he can wait out what was to come. The Runes began to come to life after the Stone was inserted and so far it seemed like this would turn out alright. Magic flowed through and the time turners connected to it responded as well. All was well... until something began to happen.

Magic began to surge as left and right turners began to shatter and creating a field of the released time magic. "What's going on?!" Harry asked in a panic as he tried to make heads or tails of this.

"I don't know my initial notes suggested this would not happen." Hermione said as the runes began to crack. Harry saw an explosion was about to happen so taking action he flung himself over to Hermione and shielded her with his body.

"Hermione!" Harry cried out and thus proceeded to cover her in his form. In turn a massive blast of magic covered the entire area blinding the pair and silencing their senses. Losing consciousness, they swore they heard someone complaining at the end of it.

(Location unknown)

The pair came to as their eyes flashed opened for a moment. They found themselves naked and sitting on office chairs as they saw a familiar figure glaring at the pair. "You both have a lot to answer for." The man said before Harry sighed.

" what do I owe the pleasure?" Harry asked and thus slammed a paper down which had notes of what he and Hermione last did.

"Cleaning up a clusterfuck of not so insignificant proportions." said while glaring at the pair in question. "Do you lot have any idea what you had just done?!" asked and thus Harry had to ask.

"Please tell me this isn't a soul mate situation." Harry said but scoffed.

"Hah I wish that would have been easier to deal with." snapped with a scowl on his human like face to avoid scaring anyone who sees him. "No, you basically broke time and caused a shit tone of stuff to happen." said and thus got to the big bit. "The worst of it is that we need to contain it but the problem is you made a time magic equivalent to a black hole." said which Harry and Hermione knew was bad.

"So... is reality about to?"; Harry asked but sighed.

"No not at the moment." said rubbing his eyes. "But your black hole basically erased certain people and peoples from reality and now we need to work and fix it again." said but Hermione then raised her hand.

"But why are we here?" Hermione asked knowing full well her husband had deaths ear and ire.

"Among the several number of people that were erased were Adam and Eve." said which made the couple go wide eyed in horror. "Yes the same Adam and Eve from the creation story your time fuckup erased them." said and thus Harry panicked.

"But if Adam and Eve no longer exist then..." Harry trailed off the implications clear in his voice which then sighed in response.

"Yes, and that's why you two are here, we need someone to basically cover for them while we fix the rest of the universe." said which meant one thing for the pair.

"Wait you want us to be Adam and Eve?" Hermione asked with curiosity in her voice.

"Yeap." said and thus Harry glared at him for this.

"But I'll outlive Hermione." Harry said not wanting to be alone in the world without his wife.

"Too bad so sad." said causing the pair to glare at him.

"What if I were to return the Hollows to you." Harry said causing to raise a brow. "What if I return the hollows and in exchange you make Hermione Immortal." Harry offered and thus glared for a moment.

"I see no reason and plus its sure as hell better then letting humans fuck around with them." said and thus Harry smirked. "But are you sure about this?" asked curious if Harry would go through with it.

Harry and Hermione looked to each other before Hermione nodded to him. "Of course." Harry said and thus sighed to this.

"Shit more paperwork, fine it's a deal." said and thus Harry felt something taken from him and saw the Hollows floating before him. The Hollows then turned into magical particles which were then absorbed by Hermione before got down to it. "Now then best be off with you two." said and in turn Harry and Hermione found themselves yanked off the chairs by some primal of magic.

(Scene Break Earth 4004 BC)

Harry and Hermione came to and found themselves in new surroundings. Harry was the first to come to as he stood up tall in a clearing. So far everything seemed ok save for the sound of nature echoing all around them. Standing tall Harry realized that they were in fact at the dawn of life and for lack of better ways to say it, they were in the Garden of Eden.

"Harry." Hermione was suddenly heard and thus Harry looked and saw Hermione getting up leaning against a wall of some sort. "Did that actually happen?" Hermione asked with concern in her voice.

"Yes, I think it did." Harry admitted as he looked to their current dilemma.

"Bloody hell." Hermione cursed but then an idea occurred to her as she smiled. "Maybe we can use this?" Hermione asked as she needed to run some tests but if what had happened had in fact happened then they are in the perfect position to make things better.

"What is it?" Harry asked with concern for his lover.

"Simple Harry." Hermione began as she stood and smiled. "We forge history." Hermione said and thus the tale began for the father and mother of the human race, Harry and Hermione.

With the hope of the future the pair shall make it so Voldemort will never have risen to power to begin with. They now had the chance to stop all the tragedies of ages to come. But who says that saving the future can't be pleasurable?

What is Hermione thinking?
