The Art of Control

You wake up one Sunday morning, groaning to yourself as you remember that today is the day you promised you would begin cleaning out the attic for your parents..  After laying there awhile you finally get yourself motivated and head to the bathroom for a quick shower.

 After the shower, you look around the house and realize that everyone else must already have gone, at least for now.  You shrug and make your way upstairs to begin the tedious job of cleaning out the attic.  

 Once upstairs you open the door and shake your head as you look over the the contents of  the attic (All of which looks as though it should be thrown away in your opinion).  Some of this stuff may have sentimental value though, as much it has been in this attic since your grandparents owned the house years ago, before they passed away and left the house to your mother and father.

You begin to methodically remove box after box of old clothes, pictures, children's toys, pretty much everything imaginable has been stored in this attic over the years. Most of it you take outside to be disposed of, keeping occasional picture, letter, or other thing that may have some sentimental or memorable value.

Hours pass and slowly but surely you are making a dent in the contents of the room, now down to about half of what was there before. Reaching down into the of the boxes you find what looks to be a very old, possibly valuable, small wooden chest. As you look over box, you cant help but notice the detail that went into the designs that cover its surface.. Obviously done by hand, you decide that whatever used to be kept in it was probably of some importance. Opening the lid, you peer down inside and are surprised to find that it actually has something inside..

You reach inside very old book, wrapped in some sort of bluish silk material. At this point curiosity gets the better of you and you decide to take a short break and see what lies inside the book, after all, this could possibly be worth something, maybe cleaning out this old room wont be quite as bad as you thought.
