Maddison woke up like he would any other day - first groaning, and then, and only then, opening his eyes to a whole new day of trouble. Things weren't simple at college - hell - it was more akin to the hunting grounds than a schooling institution.

If he wasn't careful about where he went to, or even who he crossed eyes with... yup, life was pretty tough on him. And not just because of his girly name but also his weak body. As most people in Xavier's Institution were either incredibly rich or outstanding in some sport (just a few got in because of their grades - and he wasn't one of em'), he was quite a sore spot on campus.

Studying there didn't turn out to be as 'cool' as he thought it would be, regardless of its resemblance to a specific movie. Still, today was different... and for quite an obvious reason.

"Wha?" He muttered in his half-sleeping state. He swatted his hand left and right at the flying hologram as he would at an annoying fly, but it remained there, oblivious to his confusion.

"The fuck?" He finally got up from bed, wiping his eyes clean so he could make it go away.

"Ok, what the heck is this?" He said out loud, wondering if it was an elaborate prank being pulled on him, "A quest... like an RPG?"

He tries, and it finally goes away. Funnily enough, his heart almost leaped when it functioned as he thought it would.

"... I mean, it doesn't hurt trying... yeah, it's not like there's someone watching..." A moment of silence, and then with a hesitant voice, he whispers, "Status."

"Holy shit." Was all he could say.
