Padmé sat in wait as her sloop landed on the planet. Her handmaidens patiently sat with her as Sabé finished the landing cycle. They dusted themselves off to try and clear any wrinkles from their clothes before walking down to the landing platform. Themira was a beautiful and pieceful planet, with rolling green valleys separated by steep mountains used for various agricultural crops. The people were near human, but they had peacefully left the Republic at the start of the war. They stayed neutral, protected by the strange gravity anomalies that plagued their hyperspace route.

But by far their most distinguishing characteristic was how the planet seemed to be of only a single gender. The entire population was believed to be female.

While that certainly puzzled Padmé, and many other scientists who all failed to get access to study this single gendered genealogy, it wasn’t why she was here. Themira had no interests in joining the Confederacy, but Padmé had regardless been tasked to bring them to the Republic’s cause.

Padmé walked down with her handmaidens to the landing platform. Three bright pink skinned women greeted them. In the front was the aide to the planet’s prime minister, a woman with dark brown hair and slightly pointed ears. “I am Jalora. We welcome you to Themira.”

“Thank you, ma’am. I am Senator Amidala of the Republic world Naboo. I was told you’d be expecting an all female delegation.”

“We would prefer it, yes.” Jalora said with a trickster’s smile. “Come, I’m sure you’re here to discuss our supposed fuel shortages.”

Jalora took them towards her office nearby, but Padmé could already feel something was off. The Republic’s intelligence had told her Themira had a growing fuel shortage, yet plenty of speeders filled the sky, and Jalora didn’t seem to carry any concerns about it at all.
