Finally! All those years in the academy have lead up to graduation day. It's a sunny June day in San Francisco and your apart of graduating class 2428. You've worked as hard as you could to reach a place at the top of your class and earn a position aboard Astrofleet's newest and most advanced Astroship: the Massachusetts. You along with a little over 1,000 over crew members will be lucky enough to experience her maiden voyage to unknown parts of the galaxy.

You stand at attention with you graduating class in full dress uniform. It's the yearly ceremony that you've previously watched from the stands every year prior watching former classmates officially become full fledged officers and you almost always fail to stop yourself from shedding at least one tear as you shake the hands of friends and wish them luck and safe journeys. Today, however, you'd be the one receiving the good wishes and praise from everyone.

As always, the admiral was giving the same speech every year to Astrofleet. The only thing he changed was the graduating year. He even mentioned how great the weather has been treating us. I know the admiral is old, but atmospheric regulators have been in use on Earth for more than two hundred years. He couldn't have been giving this speech for that many years. Maybe the admiral's speech had been handed down for several generations to a time before we could control the weather and original speeches were at an all-time low.

You could barely pay attention to the speech anyway. You spotted your family in the crowd about ten minutes ago. There was Mom, Dad, a couple aunts and uncles, and your little sister. She's ten years younger than you and a hundred times more adorable. You couldn't move an inch while you were at attention and she wouldn't stop trying to get your attention. She started waving her arms at you and calling your name the moment she saw you. At least the speech was more than half over. You'd finally be able to walk up to your family and calm your sister down before reporting to the Massachusetts.

Will your sister cry?
