Chapter 1 by Cheesers123 Cheesers123

The pleasant smell of sizzling bacon hit David as he opened the door to his apartment. Hissing, crackling, and popping emanated from the cracked door of the kitchen as he stepped inside, locked the front door behind him, and put his laptop case down on the hall table. It had been a long day at work, but coming home to Jenna cooking made it all worth while.

For a moment he just stood in the hallway and listened to her, enjoying the soothing sound of her humming absentmindedly as she cooked. They'd only moved in together a couple of months ago, and David was still on cloud nine just thinking about it. After they had started dating in their last year of high school, they'd had to go long distance all throughout college, but now he and Jenna finally got to live together. It was like a dream come true.

Gently, as if he were worried that pushing too hard would snap him out of his pleasant dream, he pushed the kitchen door open just a crack. Inside, there was a picture of heaven. Shafts of evening sunlight streamed in through the window over the sink, falling lovingly over Jenna as she busied herself in front of the stove. The warm light made her blonde hair gleam like silver or platinum as it fell to her shoulders.

She had her back to David as she pushed around the contents of the pan on the stove with a spatula, allowing him to get a good long look at her perfect ass. The black leggings she wore clung tight to her curves, leaving almost nothing to the imagination. If Jenna ever wore clothes like that out of the house, then David probably would have been jealous, fortunately she only dressed like that at home. As he watched, she stepped to one side to grab something, making the firm cheeks of her toned booty flex.

She really was the hottest girl he'd ever met, and she was all his. David felt like he was dreaming yet again.

Part of him wanted to open the door and grab her sexy butt with both hands, despite knowing just how much that would make Jenna blush. There was something else he wanted to do just a little more however.

Smiling to himself like an idiot, David backed away slowly from the kitchen door, reaching over to pick up his laptop case again as he retreated partway down the hall. Clearing his throat, he pushed his shoulders back, and stepped forward to throw the kitchen door open in one smooth motion.

"Honey! I'm home!" He announced loudly, barging in like he was a sitcom character.

Jenna jumped in front of him, a sizzling splash of oil leaping from the pan and landing on the countertop as she jerked in shock. In an instant, her head whipped around, and her blue eyes that were wide in surprise stared at him through the curtains of her blonde hair. Just as quickly as she had jumped, she settled down again. Her shoulders relaxed and a playful smile twinkled in her eyes.

"Babe," she sighed, struggling to keep the amusement out of her voice, "Don't surprise me like that! I almost spilled everywhere."

"Sorry, I couldn't resist," David laughed, putting his laptop down again and grabbing a napkin to mop up the minor mess he had caused.

"Did you have a good day at work?" Jenna asked, scooching to one side to allow David to sweep the countertop clean, and playfully bumping her hip against his as she moved.

"Same old, same old," David answered. With the greasy tissue in one hand, he put the other on his girlfriend's hip, and planted a kiss on her warm cheek. "How was your day?"

"Mine was good," Jenna smiled, "I got the last of the unpacking done, I did some laundry, and I finally got to go on a nice little walk around the neighborhood. I'll tell you more about it in a minute, dinner's nearly ready, you should go get changed."

David withdrew his arm from around her waist. "Good idea," he said, dropping the dirty napkin in the bin and heading to the bedroom. Inside, he saw that Jenna really had finished the unpacking. Cardboard boxes, that had been full with both of their clothes this morning, now lay empty and neatly folded by the side of the bed.

Stepping around them, he shrugged off his work shirt and quickly shimmied out of his work trousers, changing instead to a more comfortable t-shirt and jeans. The exact shirt he grabbed hung a little loose from his chest. It must have been one of his older shirts that Jenna had put on top by mistake when she'd been unpacking, but that didn't matter. It would do fine for an evening in.

Now freshly changed, David returned to the kitchen, that also doubled as a dining room. In the nook to the side of the door, Jenna was already plating up dinner. Sizzling bacon was shoveled from her hot pan to a pair of plates, alongside some crispy hash browns that were already there, a modest meal that seemed like a feast to David when Jenna was serving it.

"Ooh, breakfast for dinner?" David laughed, "nice."

"Well, bacon was cheap," Jenna muttered without looking at him, and David sensed that he'd somehow hit a nerve.

"It looks great," he reassured her, taking his seat with his stomach already rumbling. The last thing he'd eaten had been a limp ham sandwich at noon, and that hadn't been exactly filling then. It took a concerted effort to not just dive into his plate straight away, instead waiting for his girlfriend to join him.

She untied her apron behind her back, before lifting it over her head, shaking out her luscious locks of blonde hair as she moved. Folding the used apron over her arm, David noticed that Jenna's top was just as hot and slutty as her leggings had been. Tight, white material hugged to her chest so tightly it was like her t-shirt had been painted on, combined with a low neckline that made it almost impossible to look anywhere but directly at her DD boobs.

Either it was new, or Jenna was also wearing some old clothes that had been reshuffled when she'd unpacked, because David would definitely have remembering seeing her in that before. As it was, he couldn't stop staring at her chest, his eyes following every little jiggle and bounce of her full chest, even as she sat down across from him.

"See something you like, David?" Jenna asked suddenly, finally snapping his attention off her chest. His guilty eyes flew up to her face, where her cherubic lips were pulled in a smirk. Despite being her boyfriend, David couldn't help but blush.

"Sorry," he muttered, "it's just, the food isn't the only thing that looks delicious."

"Babe, stop," Jenna laughed, kicking him under the table, although her foot seemed to linger against his leg for much longer than it would need to just to kick him. Maybe after dinner, they could finally get around to breaking in their new bed. Before dessert, however, they still had dinner to finish.

"So, tell me all about your day," David picked up their conversation where they had left it off, tucking in to his hot meal as he listened. Fork met plate repeatedly as Jenna waxed lyrical about her day, expounding on her unpacking, and then what she had had for lunch, before detailing her afternoon walk and all the friendly neighbors she had met. She barely picked at her meal as she spoke, just as often allowing a full forkful to fall back to her plate as she brought it to her mouth.

David did his best to listen as he ate. Jenna always was so bubbly, it was no surprise that the little old men and kindly mothers she'd spoken to had taken a shine to her. It was nice to see her smile, and hearing her gush about her mostly mundane day warmed his heart, but he still knew there was one thing they had to talk about.

When Jenna wound down to the end of her day, talking about the events from just shortly before David had came home, he steeled himself to ask the awkward question.

"And, how's the job search going?" He asked, broaching the subject as gently as he could. Despite his delicate attempt, he could see Jenna's shoulders dip a little at the mere mention of the subject.

"It's going," she sighed, her earlier enthusiasm ebbing away from her. After so much procrastinating, she finally scooped up a large portion of bacon and hash brown and actually pushed it into her mouth, although it seemed more like an excuse not to talk rather than her appetite showing itself. Whatever the reason, a moment of uncomfortable silence followed as she chewed, and David waited for her to talk again.

"I applied to another 8 jobs," she said, to an encouraging smile from David.

"And I got rejection emails from 11 jobs from last week." David's smile fell, his expression changing to be commiseratory.

"It’s okay, I know you’ll find work," he reassured her, "these things just take time."

"I know, but we don’t exactly have time," Jenna's eyes dipped to the edge of the table, where the pile of ‘overdue’ and ‘final notice’ letters was only getting higher. They had paid for 3 months rent when they'd first moved in, but that time they'd bought was rapidly slipping by.

"But, I've been thinking today. For a few days, actually, and I think I have an idea!" Jenna seemed to reinflate as she spoke, her shoulders rising again and a fire appearing in her eyes.

What is Jenna's idea?
