The future is dark and dangerous. Technology is highly advanced, especially in the areas of biotechnology, robotics, cyber implants, and computing.

The successor of the internet, the Matrix (made BEFORE the movie tyvm) is run by deckers, people with implants that jack in to the Matrix wirelessly with their minds (ok the cyberdecks IN their brains) rather than just looking at a computer screen. They see the Matrix as symbols like items in the real world, but they can also project themselves into the networks as an avatar that moves through nodes.

Magic has awakened and brought chaos along with it.

Corporations pull the strings of the government behind the scenes in a world where money talks with a megaphone.

Creatures have risen. Dragons, demons, and undead are all frighteningly present.

People have transformed. On a world-changing day in April several years ago, "goblinization day", suddenly a portion of the population transformed into elves, trolls, dwarves, and orcs. Racism has become larger and more fear-driven.
