Chapter 1

Scrappy-Doo was lost. Thrown out to fend for himself at the side of the road. They never liked him and he knew it, snide comments and petty rivalries plagued the group.

I didn’t need them anyway.

So what so I established my dominance over Daphne, the stuck up bitch deserved it.

He looked back behind, fading away in the distance the gaudy van they call the mystery machine drove down the road, obscured by the blurry heat waves in the distance.

Scrappy turned and sat on his dishevelled suitcase and pondered, the gears turning in his head.

This isn’t the end.

Some Time Later

Scrappy explored the cave, dingy and dank, forgotten by the fools above. His mind drifted as his small paws scattered along the cave floor.

He had heard stories of this island, of a mystical power that only the bravest of locals discuss. They would tell tales of Demons that plague the island and revelled in hunting humans. Upon reaching the island however, Scrappy was aghast. All these tales of demons and monsters and what does he see?

A theme park?

You’ve got to be kidding me

He looked around from the docks, he had snuck aboard the ship that was ferrying the mostly young island go-ers back and forth via the luggage compartment. He saw a mix of young men and women disembarking the ship and frantically making their way down the busy pier. He wasn’t particularly interested in the men, but the women? The women he liked. Blondes, brunettes, redheads, white, black, asian. Women of all shapes and sizes almost everywhere he looked. If what he had heard about the insidious demonic truth of the island was true, he was gonna have a hell of a time.

Back in the cave, Scrappy had come to an opening leading to a large chamber. It was almost pitch black but he could already tell, this chamber was special. From what he could make out there seemed to be unnatural side chambers and alcoves littering the edges of the massive chamber. A small light further in a deeper pit in the centre of the room drew his eye. He clambered down and explored further, deep in the recesses of this large pit was a small alter with a toxic green hued light seeping through the cracks below.

He investigated the light further, the cracks were slight, no wider than half an inch. He pressed his eye to the floor trying to peer further in but alas all he could see was green. He looked upon the top of the alter - He had to finagle himself up onto an adjacent rock to actually see the top of the alter up close. On top of the alter was a small object shaped like a pyramid, the green light creeping from the floor highlighted small details on the artefact. Intricate designs adorned every face.

He swiped the pyramid but as soon as the pyramid was in his hands the cave grumbled as if it was sentient and had finally noticed the little mutt’s presence. The alter that once held the pyramid sunk into the ground, as it sunk it was replaced with more and more of that green light. From the newly opened chasm a comparatively massive hand reached up and gripped the edge of the jagged rock.

Not one to back away from a foe, Scrappy held firm but his eyes could not help but notice the hand. In mere moments Scrappy had memorised every facet, The dark purple blotted skin that pierced through the green of the chasm, the long unkempt fingernails that looked sharp enough to cut steel. The long, gangly fingers that connected to a boney hand, by far bigger than Scrappy himself maybe twice or three times over.

The hand tensed and launched up a horrific monster, 9ft tall, hunched over, large eyes that glowed a darker shade of green than the chasm below. It’s face long and as boney as the hand he had already memorised. It;s ears were pointed and so long that they flopped over themselves and twitched along with the monsters face. The monster immediately clocked Scrappy and snarled, ready to strike. It raised the same hand that it had used to launch itself into view, the same that had greeted Scrappy already. It lunged forward but stopped, it’s eyes resting on the pyramid, still in Scrappys hand. It pulled back it’s hand, the snarl all but gone and its temper quelled. It bowed, at least as best as it could, eyes downcast.

Scrappy was shocked, the stories were right. This wasn’t just a dead end, he could see it now. His plan, his plan was now in motion.
