CHAPTER 1

The strange ship from the depths of the sea surfaced without warning and far too quickly and collided with an oil tanker belonging to the company ORACLE in New York Harbor.

An explosion followed, and the water ablaze in the night. The Fantastic Four, along with a few members of the Avengers, tried to control the chaos and protect New York. Captain America, the World War II hero who had been frozen and was only rediscovered during a battle between the first Avengers and the Incredible Hulk, evacuated the docks with Hawkeye. The Human Torch of Marvel's First Family tried to control the fire while his friend Ben the Thing extinguished the burning wreckage at the docks. Reed Richards flew over the crisis area in the Fantastic Car, searching for people in need, and his wife, Susan "Sue" Storm Richards, contained the flames with her **** fields.

So many dead and injured people here, and what kind of strange ship had that been? The dead alien passengers floating on the water's surface had blue skin, black eyes, pointed ears, and gills. They wore simple but impressive golden armor and were tattooed all over their bodies.

Were they soldiers for an invasion? The armor and weapons suggested it, but where did they come from? And why had it leaped up too fast and uncontrollably? If it was a warship, where were the other ships?

Sue was pushing back the flames at a more remote part of the docks and extinguishing them. It was more strenuous than it looked, and exhausted, she wiped the sweat from her forehead with her hand when she heard a noise behind her. She turned around and was startled to see a tall, very muscular black man with long dreadlocks standing in front of her. His black skin also bore these exotic tattoos.

What Sue inadvertently noticed, however, were the gold nipple piercings and the fact that he was naked. She looked at his large, black cock for a second or two, and despite his injuries, the man grinned.

He said something in a foreign language, staggered toward her, and seemed about to lose consciousness. Sue caught the strong, handsome man, who was quite heavy, and she contacted the team.

"He appears to be an Atlantean," Reed surmised as he looked at the data on his computer screen. The Fantastic Four had brought the sole survivor to their infirmary, where he lay **** but stable.

His severe injuries were already healing.

"Atlanteans? Do those people from the sea really exist?" Johnny asked.

"Apparently so," the team leader replied, running the scan over their guest once more.

"Great. Something we were missing to add to super apes and mole people. Fish heads," Ben grumbled, taking a drag on his cigar.

"Is he dangerous?" asked Sue, who was watching the patient through the connecting window from the lab to the infirmary.

"I can't say, darling. But it's good that you found him; he can surely give us answers."

"He found me," she confessed.

Her husband left that uncommented and returned to his computer.

"His body is tempered by the pressure of the sea, and he seems as strong as the Hulk, if not stronger."

Ben grumbled something.

"You and Johnny go back to the harbor and salvage whatever you can from the Atlantis ship. There might still be something useful in there."

"Sure, brother-in-law," Johnny said, saluting.

Ben exhaled the cigar smoke into the air and was about to turn away when the burning tip of the cigar suddenly died, and the smoke collected in an invisible bubble.

"I told you something about those things," Sue said.

"Franklin and Valeria aren't even close," he growled.

"You're still their favorite uncle and not a good role model."

Ben grumbled again and left the room with Johnny.

Reed had barely followed the scene. As always, he was engrossed in his results and data.

"What do you think?" Sue asked.

"He's fascinating. His physical fitness is superior to all of us..."

"I didn't miss that," she murmured quietly.

"What?"

"Nothing," she said quickly, and Reed continued.

"...even though he looks like he's in his early twenties, he could be much older. And, as I notice, he's half human."

"That's why he has a different skin color than the other Atlanteans."

"It's just strange that he's the only one who survived."

Reed took off his glasses. Then he suddenly stood up and started to leave the sickbay lab.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to check something in the digital archives," he simply replied, and then he was gone.

Sue didn't even look after him.

She knew her husband. When he was focused, he developed tunnel vision, and everything else didn't matter.

The Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four looked through the window at the sleeping man.

Subconsciously and unintentionally, she remembered catching him, her hand touching his rock-hard, powerful chest. His muscles were even harder than Ben's, and his body was made of orange stone. Without thinking, she entered his hospital room and slowly approached him.

She didn't know the man, didn't know whether he was dangerous or not, but she had faced other adversaries before. After all, Susan Richards wasn't just anyone, but the Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four.

He was sleeping quietly and peacefully, and now that she could take a closer look at him, she noticed that he looked even better than at first glance.

Then suddenly, he opened his eyes, and Sue took a step back, startled. He looked at Sue, looked her up and down, and grinned. The cheeky grin was unmistakable. She formed a brief shield around herself, and he seemed slightly annoyed.

He said something Sue didn't understand.

"I don't understand you," she said calmly, to show that she posed no threat.

The man narrowed his eyes and thought for a moment.

"You don't need your **** field, beautiful woman," he said with a heavy, exotic accent.

"You speak our language?"

"Of course. It's my father's language."

"Your father was a human?"

"He was."

"What's your name?"

"It's you."

"Excuse me?"

"I am a king, and my name is Namor. Last King of Atlantis."

He pushed himself up from the bed, the thin blanket slipping off his torso. Now in the clear neon light, Sue could better see his defined muscles, the lines of his skin, and his beautiful, intricate tattoos.

"You saved me, and I owe you my thanks."

"What did I save you from?"

Namor ignored the question and looked around.

"Where am I?"

"In the Baxter Building. The Fantastic Four headquarters."

He said nothing and removed all the cables and tubes.

"What are you up to?"

"It's called what are you up to, Your Majesty," he said without a hint of irony or humor.

"You'd like that, I suppose."

Namor looked her in the eyes.

"From you? Of course."

One corner of his mouth twitched.

"But I wouldn't tell you, I'd show you."

Sue instinctively strengthened her shield. Namor swung his legs out of bed and looked disgruntled at his thin patient pants. Apparently, neither the fabric nor the color were worthy of a king.

He tried to walk past her, but he bumped into an invisible wall. He lightly punched it with his fists to test its strength.

"In addition to your unique beauty, you also have amazing abilities."

Namor smiled slightly.

"Your beauty would be even more perfect if you had long hair."

Sue said nothing to that. Suddenly, the wall in front of her shattered like a pane of glass, and Namor took a step toward her. But her shield remained intact.

"You see. Nothing can stand between me and you. Your shield only remains intact because I want it to."

"Maybe so. But I'm still not defenseless."

"I don't doubt that either, but I pose no danger, and you have nothing to fear from me."

His eyes narrowed.

"At least, nothing you don't desire," he said quietly, and Sue's shield flickered for a moment.

"What's going on here?" she heard Reed say behind her. He entered the room, and Sue was glad he was here now.
