The Hellfire Club was infamous. Officially, it was a nightclub where people celebrated wildly; unofficially, it was a meeting place for persecuted mutants.
Emma Frost, the White Queen, was the owner of the club. A powerful mutant with the gift of telepathy and the ability to transform her skin into an indestructible diamond armor. She didn't hate or despise humans like many of her fellow mutants. They were simply stupid, and they left a lot of money in her club. And that was all that mattered. With particularly wealthy guests, she used her abilities to fill the coffers even further.
Today, however, she had landed a particularly big and, above all, unexpected fish. Namor, the King of Atlantis, had approached her, and when she heard what it was about, Emma almost did it for nothing. But only almost. It was around ten o'clock in the evening when her target entered the Hellfire Club.
Susan "Sue" Storm Richards, member of the Fantastic Four. The pretty woman with short blonde hair was there in her superhero uniform and not in civilian clothes. That was part of the plan. Emma stood at the bar, pretending she hadn't seen The Invisible Woman and sipped her cocktail.
"Emma," she heard someone say behind her after a while, and she slowly turned around.
"Susan. Nice to see you," she lied and smiled. The mutant was a master of lying, and yet Sue knew she was lying.
"What brings you to my club? Would you like something to drink?"
"No, that's not what I'm here for. There's a rumor going around that a small number of mutants are planning to take action against the President."
"So? Only mutants," Emma giggled, sipping her drink.
"This is serious. Tensions between humans and mutants are boiling over again."
"What do you know about this?" Emma's sharp tone was even sharper than her diamond skin.
Sue immediately understood what she was referring to. Mutants have always been hated, hunted, and fought by humans, while other superheroes, like the Fantastic Four, were celebrated as heroes.
"I'm here to protect both sides."
Emma wrinkled her nose.
"You're one of us and should fight on our side."
"The Fantastic Four have always been neutral and help anyone who needs help."
"How noble. Stupid... but noble."
Sue snorted and rolled her eyes.
"Call it what you will, but I'd appreciate your help. At least a hint. Before it comes to war."
Emma ordered a drink and pushed it toward Sue. The invisible woman didn't even look at the drink.
"Actually, I know nothing."
"And I'm supposed to believe you?"
"My contacts aren't as up-to-date as they used to be. But I know who can help."
"Who?"
"A mutual friend. Namor," Emma smiled.
Sue froze briefly at the name and shook her head slightly.
"Namor? What does the King of Atlantis have to do with this?"
"You always forget that Namor is also a mutant, a hybrid of several worlds. Apparently, there are one or two Atlanteans in the group who want to attack the President. That's why he's here in the city."
Sue narrowed her eyes and stared at Emma suspiciously. The "love triangle" was an open secret between the three of them. Emma loves wealth, luxury, and power, and that's why she had her eye on Namor. The King of Atlantis coveted Sue, who, however, loved Reed Richards, was married to him, and had two children with him.
"Namor doesn't care about humans and mutants," said Sue.
"But if Atlanteans are in the group, it could lead to a war between the upper world and the sea, and he wants to prevent that."
"How true. I should go now. Every second counts."
"Wait!"
"What?"
"Every piece of information costs money, and I just want you to drink this drink. I don't like it, and I hate waste."
Sue watched hesitantly as Emma pushed the glass a little closer to her. Sighing, she took it, and in doing so, Emma accidentally touched Sue's finger. That's what Mrs. Richards thought, but it wasn't actually true. As powerful as Emma Frost was as a telepath, unlike Charles Xavier, her powers had limits. She could influence thoughts and conjure images, but these were only fleeting.
A touch was the best; that was all it took to unleash her full power. Even if it was just the hint of a touch, Susan Storm felt a jolt of pain as if she'd been struck by lightning. She felt hot and cold at the same time, goosebumps rose all over her body, and a tingling sensation began between her legs.
Emma knew what Sue was thinking and what she saw in her mind's eye, because she created the image.
It was Namor.
His muscular, black body was naked except for his gold jewelry, and his large penis, in particular, burned into Sue's optic nerve. Sue pulled her hand away in shock, her cheeks glowing red.
"Everything okay?" Emma asked.
"Yes... it..."
Emma smiled, and Sue's body's reactions didn't escape her. The woman was no longer in control of her clear thoughts. All she could think about was the handsome, naked king of Atlantis. How he moved, how he smiled at her. All her suppressed feelings toward him burst inside her like a dam. The Fantastic Four, Reed, and their children were pushed far to the back of her mind. There was only Namor, and her sudden physical desire for him was practically painful.
"Didn't you want to go to Namor?" Emma asked smugly.
"Yes," she simply replied, downed her drink in one breath, and disappeared from the Hellfire Club...
