Roommates

'Ah finally my new room', thinks Zac as he stands before his bedroom door for the first time. This will be his home for the next 12 months and to say he's excited would be an understatement. After years of living with 4 siblings, and being the baby of the family, home life had become suffocating.

Its not that he didn't love them or like it there but there was simply no freedom. You eat what is put in front of you when it is, watch tv together every night, text if you're going to be 5 minutes late home. And there was always someone there. When you sleep, someone is in the same room; shower and someone barges in for the loo; and worst of all when you just want some alone time and end up shooting your fluids in the direction of you horrified older sister as she calls you a gross pervert for wanking in your own room. It was just too much.

The only downside to this new home was that it wouldn't just be his. No unfortunately due to having to go through clearing Zac was stuck with the dregs of accommodation choices and unless he could afford £900 a month he was never going to get his own place.

'But this will be fine I'm sure' he thought as the key creaked in the lock and unlocked the entrance.
