Primitive Planet

Nothing is real for a while. Consciousness itself has forsaken you and is only slowly reintroducing itself. Before you can see anything, you feel. What you feel is intense pain wracking your entire body...you have a body. Yes. Its coming back to you now; who you are, where you were, why you might possibly be in this situation, for situations elsewhere do exist...

Murky images begin to present themselves to you, along with strange, hissing and popping noises. The pain intensifies.

With a sudden coalescence of lines and shapes that terrifies you more than it comforts you, you come to realize you are in a dark, tiny place, the sounds of broken and breaking circuitry all around you. Your head is throbbing, you can feel your legs, but you;d rather not for all the pain in them.

Its all coming back to you. You were the lone volunteer for a special exploration mission. One that promised little, but cost nothing. You didn't care. You were always lonely, you'd gotten used to it over the course of decades. You had no problem cruising around the ass-end of space in search of life that probably wasn't there to being with. If anything, it was the best promise of escaping the nonsense of dealing with everyone else you'd ever come across.

But this painful situation is actually making you long for company...

You remember coming across the planet. You remember considering touching down, if only for shits and giggles, to say you did something more than brood and listen to the sound of space (which is to say, utter and profound silence) when in a good mood, and to the same old angry music when not. You remember the landing gear issues you had...you never were much of a pilot, but no one objected to your undertaking, since they and you both knew there was nothing out here.

At least, that's what all of you thought.

Well...spaceship in less than optimum functioning capacity, feeling like you'd be better off dead for the pain in your body, its safe to say you crash landed on the planet...so what now?
