Power of the Mind

It was 1:00 am when I started going home along the swampy roads from work. I worked at a waste facility, and the land around it was swamp. I stayed late that night to finish her error report. How I hated Steve, my boss, for making me file those every day. I was jerked back to reality only to see that it is too late to make the turn, and was driving too fast. I ran off the road, and clipped a tree with the passenger side of my car, spinning and flipping my car, then I was thrown out of my window and into the swamp. The car landed few inches away from My head.

I came up for air inside the crushed car, having moved forward when I swam up, only to find that I was trapped. there was air up here, but it smelled horrible. I wrapped my arm around the seatbelt, and settled in for a long night.
