Giovanni frowned. "Report."

"The experiment, she was a success, but we-a," the scientist wondered how he could put this.

"You screwed up," said Giovanni. It was not a question.

"No, no, no, well maybe a little," said the scientist. "It was all that VonEcchi's fault!"

"Someone explain it to me, slowly." Giovanni commanded.

One of the women came forward. "The experimental Catalyst Stones were being shipped from an outlying lab to here. Unfortunately the driver of the van crashed, was an idiot and didn't check to see how badly damaged his truck was, and the cases were scattered all along his route."

"Send retrieval squads then," said Giovanni.

"We sent the nearest Team Rocket, but that was..." the scientist began.

Giovanni groaned. "Not them?!"

"So, Jess, these stones are pretty valuable to the Boss?"

"That's right, James, if we manage to capture them all, we'll be able to redeem ourselves!"

"I'll be top cat again!" Meowth chuckled.

Ash wasn't sure what the pokemon was trying to tell him. All she said was "genie". She really seemed to be getting frustrated too. "I'm sorry. I wish you could speak something I could understand."

"GEnie gen make you understand me, damnit! Misty..." Misty blinked. "Testing. One. Two. Three. Misty can talk again! Yayyy!"

"Any idea about this, Pikachu?" Ash asked his buddy.

"Yeah, Pikachu think this all very strange."

Ash and Misty both stared for a moment.

"Misty granted Master's wish," said Misty, frowning as she realized this guy had captured her, and she now found herself regarding him as her Master. Seriously creepy. "Apparently Master say 'you' and that mean more than just Misty. Master have to be careful what wish for."

"Hmmm. Okay, well, Misty return!" Ash held up her pokeball and watched as she was sucked inside. "Sorry, Misty, but I want to talk to Professor Oak about this and I don't have enough money for two bus tickets."

A rustling in the bush got Ash's attention. "Pikachu! Thundershock!"

"okay!" Pikachu chirped and threw a lightning bolt in that direction.

Ash blinked as he realized he'd already thrown a pokeball and captured something, but that had been a feminine yelp as he caught whatever it was. Maybe it was another genie?
