Odd Possesion

AHHMV

Chapter 1 by Moshi Moshi

**Welcome to my story! This is my first attempt, expect a lot of changes/revamps, along with additions. The story is influenced by a game called A Haunted Honeymoon Vacation (I recommend checking it out on tfgamesite). Feel free to add to the story, or offer up some changes! I'm interested in seeing where this game leads to.**

Brian, the main protagonist of the story. A 20-year-old champ with unkempt wavy blond hair. His bright blue eyes sit well on his carved face, a well-defined jawline pulls the focus from his average height and athletic build. People see him as having very good posture, a habit that was beaten into him by his overbearing parents. Mentally, he is a kind soul, though somewhat sheltered. Often helping others, he can generally befriend even the most chad of characters. Though, this characteristic while good may just come to bite Brian in the ass.

Our story begins with a bus climbing the winding turns up a snowy mountain top. Sitting on that bus is Brian, awake and eagerly anticipating his well-deserved vacation. Luckily for him, it's a sunny day at Mt. Zoldic. Fresh powder, and a plethora of women skiing. His vacation has started out nicely, and his dream of a great snowboarding trip with benefits is almost too much to handle! His imagination ran wild, he didn't even notice that the bus had stopped with most of the passengers already moving on.

Brian quickly gathers himself and exits the bus, the Zoldic resort being just outside. Taking a look around he notices how big the area is, there are more slopes than he originally thought, and while there are a lot of people it's not to the point where it feels cramped. He turns to see the resort he is set to stay in, it's a giant 5 story building, and is easily the fanciest place that he has ever reserved a room for. The building has an oriental theme around it, and an odd statue of a kid with lightning surrounding him. Collecting his belongings he decides it's best to get things moving while there is still time left in the day.

"I guess I'll check-in, and then hit the slopes. If I'm lucky I won't embarrass myself on my way down." At this point, Brian has only been snowboarding once before. The first time his face got more contact with the snow than his board did....needless to say, his confidence is not high.

Brian makes his way to the reception desk. He is only 2 minutes into the trip when he has his first interaction with a cute girl. The lack of social life has left him with a bit of a disorder, another reason for the vacation that he hoped would be solved.

Receptionist: "Good day sir, do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, the name is Brian Stone." With his heart pounding, he can feel the fire reaching his face. Was his face red?! The more he thought of it, the more he burned.

Receptionist: "Ok, I have you in room 305. Here is your key, and thank you for checking in online. It really saves me a lot of time. Enjoy your stay Mr. Stone, and be sure to enjoy the restaurant's amazing breakfast and the hot springs' great atmosphere."

Brian takes the key, accidentally brushing her hand. "Th-thanks, ah--have a day!" Flustered he quickly retreats towards the elevators. While he is pleased to find out that the resort has a restaurant and a hot spring! He is also irritated that he still can't talk to women properly. Hopefully, this trip breaks his non-existent game.

The elevator quickly opens and he heads on up to his room. Upon reaching his floor he notices how the resort has maintained its original decorations, it is impressive how they mixed the old style with the modern renovations. This is no doubt why the resort is rated five stars. Reaching his room, Brian opens the door and is hit with a luxurious experience that left his mouth wide open.

"Wow, a king-sized bed, a full refrigerator, a bar, and bathroom that could easily fit six people! I could live here...if only it didn't cost $500 a night haha. Well, I'll have plenty of time to enjoy this place, but first I have to check out the slopes while the sun is still up."

After placing his luggage in the room, he puts his gear on and heads down to the lobby. As he enters the elevator he is met with two people having a conversation. He awkwardly stands off to the side, the two not even recognizing that he entered.

Stranger 1: "I heard there are ghosts here."

Stranger 2: "Oh yeah, there are tons of stories man. There is a lot about some woman that died here 2 years ago. I guess she can be seen roaming around at night if you believe that stuff."

Stranger 1: "Maybe, I've never seen anything like a ghost. This place also doesn't scream ghost, you know? It's probably all fake haha."

Stranger 2: "OoooOoo, give me your soul bitch!"

Stranger 1: "Haha, you're so dumb man. Let's go to the bar and get smashed before I die from your lame-ass jokes."

"Ghosts....really?! " Brian thinks to himself that some people will believe anything, but he is more of a "if you can't see it, it's not real" kind of guy. Then again a ghost girl gets his imagination going, he realizes he might be a little messed up in the head, or a little too sheltered if that's all it takes to rouse him.

As the elevator reaches the 1st floor the two strangers push their way out first, then he heads towards the slopes. His excitement is at an all-time high, does he choose to go balls to the wall, or a little more conservative?

Does he head to the advanced slopes, or stick with the beginner hill?
