Obsession

A man finds out what he is really packing

Chapter 1 by The_Foundation The_Foundation

BANG BANG BANG!

I jolted awake to the sound of pounding on my door, and despite my best efforts, rolled right out of bed onto the hard wooden floor. As my eyes adjusted to my surroundings, I took in the bare apartment around me.

A small studio apartment with a single barstool, a laptop, and a few cardboard boxes were all that remained of my possessions. The rest had either been sold to help me get back up on my feet, or stolen by Riley, my now-ex girlfriend.

Our relationship had started like so many others had, we were set up on a blind date by Jill, a mutual friend, and hit it off from there. We quickly moved in together, and spent many a night in the throes of passion. That had all ended a week ago when I came home from a business trip early, to find her scissoring Jill, before screaming me out of the apartment we shared.

I was snapped out of my flashback by the hammering intensifying, and I pulled myself off of the floor, scratched my 3-day old stubble, and made my way to the door.

The pounding intensified, to the point where I could feel the tremors pounding through my bare feet.

I looked down to the fact I was half naked, with only a pair of battered trousers I had gotten from a local goodwill, and my hairless chest exposed to the air, goosebumps beginning to form from the cool air around me.

"John open this fucking door before I break it down!"

I jumped at the noise, and I made my way to the door.

Opening the door, I was greeted with the one person I never wanted to see again, Riley.

She was significantly different than the Riley I knew and (once) loved, with her once meticulously assembled, rich black hair cropped down into a short, messy mop that gave her a tomboy-ish look, a short pair of Jeans held up by a studded belt, and a faded T-shirt with the logo to some band emblazoned on it covering her decent C cup tits.

"Riley, always a pleasure" I said steadily, trying to keep the anger and surprise out of my voice.

"Cut the bullcrap John, where is it?"

I raised an eyebrow.

"I honestly have no clue what you're talking about."

She crossed her arms, jutting her chin out.

"You know what the hell I'm talking about."

I opened my mouth to generate a retort, but was interrupted when she reared her hand back and slapped me across the cheek.

I let out a grunt and stumbled back a step and she stepped across the threshold of my door, pushing me aside and confidently striding over to one of the cardboard boxes that kept my possessions and opening it, combing through my contents until she let out a grunt of victory.

"There it is!"

In her hands she held her the wedding ring I was planning on giving to her that fateful night, I had called in favors to come home from the trip early and take her out to dinner at the restaurant where Jill had introduced us, and propose on the walk home.

Riley made an attempt to walk past me but I stood my ground, looming over her 5,9 figure at 6,4 feet.

"Get out of my way. NOW." She yelled loud enough to make my ears hurt slightly.

"Why do you even need a ring anyways?" I countered, fighting the urge to make her an appointment with the grim reaper.

"I'm gonna propose to Jill!" She puffed her chest out, her face glowing at the lamenting look in my eyes.

"To be honest..." She whispered into my ear, "She does better with her fingers than your whole 6 inches ever could, I came sooooo many times last night, just from her fingers alone."

I tried to keep a straight face, but I guess some emotions slipped out, and I let my guard down. Because she gleamed at me, before pushing me to the side and sending me crashing into the wall and walking out the door.
