My Day at the convention

Hello.
My name is Martyn. I guess I should explain who I am.
I'm a 29 year old guy. I'm not exactly the best looking guy in the world. I'm a bit overweight, ginger and I wear glasses. Needless to say, i'm not 'Mr Handsome'. I'm usually quite shy and a little socially awkward.
There's also something else I should tell you. You may not beleive it but I have mind control powers. No, don't leave this story. I really do!
It all happened 3 years ago. I went through a very stressful time and my brain had pretty much spazzed and I passed out. It was scary. Thankfully, I woke up after a couple hours. This is when a deep voice spoke to me.

'Martyn!' the voice boomed.

To be honest, I wasn't in the mood to question where the voice was coming from. 'Yes?' I muttered

'Martyn, I am the Lord of Karma. I appears to me that life has been cruel to you in recent years' the voice said

'No kidding. No job, I struggle to make friends, no relationship' I sighed

'Well, I am hear to resolve that. I have gifted you a power for which you can use in 3 years time. That gift is mind control. It works simple. From today, in 3 years time, you will be able to control minds in two ways'

I looked up. This sounded interesting.

'One way is subconsciously Simply have a thought and plant it into a humans mind and they will act upon it subconsciously. If you fancy a free meal, simply plant the thought into the waiters mind and they won't charge you or even forget'

I smiled 'And the other?'

'Wow, you're eager' laughed the voice. 'The second is suggestion. Basically, you can ask and suggest things and the person will see it as an acceptable thing to do. Say, you're at the bank and the person serving you has an impressive chest. Simply suggest she unbutton a couple of buttons so you can see her cleavage. There's a couple of catches though.

1. No demanding things. That is bullying. No one likes a bully
2. This power will last you 5 years so use it wisely.
3. You may only start with gentle control. Eventually, you will have more power as use your power more. You can't control the world in one day. In fact, you would need to have the power for 7 years to do that and you don't have that length of time'

I nodded 'OK, i think I understand. It'll be a tough 3 years to wait.

And so that's how I received my powers. It's 3 years later and I'm in a queue for CamCon. It's a convention for geeks like me. I've been looking forward to this all year. All those comic books, panels, video games, cosplayers and stalls. It's going to be a fun day. Of course, once the queue moves along. Now, what should I do for the time being?
