Tucked away in the northeast fringes of the new continent is the commune of Madosin, with a population of just over 200 peoples. Those who live there have taken to forgoing the "O", and simply call it "Madsin". It's Lands are lush and good, with fields of gold Wheat and healthy forests, full of Game and Lumber. And should the Earth be lacking, the Sea shall provide.

I have come to this place upon the invitation of a Mr. Morris Gottlieb, the Commune headman, under the pretense which I initially did not understand. While I am not one to believe in hearsay, what I saw upon stepping off the ship was quite contrary to what I had heard. I did not see a collection of Demon worshipers, or hideous Monsters, or deformed Cretins. I saw peoples of all creeds and colours, smiling and laughing, and conversing with each other. However, it did not leave my notice that my arrival was not unexpected. Calls of "How do you do, Mr. McKay?", "Lovely Day isn't it, Mr. McKay?", "Madsin welcomes you, Mr. McKay!" and "Just down that way, Mr. McKay. Can't miss it!" dogged me as I made my way towards the headman's home.

Upon reaching it, I had scarcely announced my arrival when the door opened and I was greeted by a brown-haired woman of some age but still with a youthful charm, who introduced herself as Mrs. Frances Gottlieb, the wife of Mr. Morris. "How do you do, Mr. McKay?" She smiled at me while I took off my Coat and Hat, and returned her greeting. "I hope your journey was a pleasant one. I could not bear another go on ride on those things." Her face turned a sickly green when I told her of the storm we had to sail through last week. "God save you, Mr. McKay. But that is not why you are here. My husband is in his study. Just down the hall and it will be the second room on the right. Leave your bags here. I'll see that they're attended to. By the way, would you happen to have a preference to Tea or Coffee?"

I informed the good Mrs. Gottlieb of my preference and thanked her for her kindness before making my way over to her husband's study. "Enter." a man's voice had said when I knocked upon it's door. I did, and immediately closed it back again as I caught the sight of what was presumably Mr. Gottlieb standing over their maidservant, thrusting his manhood into her mouth. "Mr. McKay? Is something the matter?"

"Begging your pardon, Mr. Gottlieb," I said through the door, "I did not mean to catch you in such a state. Perhaps I should return presently or when you are not quite...preoccupied."

"Nonsense, nonsense. There is no- Oh! Oh! How foolish of me!" He laughed. "I had forgotten that this is your first day here. Just a moment, Mr. McKay. Just a moment." I heard the sounds of shuffling on the other side of the door before I was asked to enter once more.

Entering nervously, I cast my eyes about, but the maidservant was nowhere to be seen. Mr. Gottlieb sat behind his massive desk and bade me sit upon the chair opposite. "I do most humbly apologize for that, Mr. Mckay," he started, holding his hands together. "But that does strike straight into the heart of the matter of your invitation. If I may be frank, Madosin is of a mind to grow, and in order for her to do so, she must have more people. And I ask that you be our messenger to the rest of the World."

As he spoke, I caught glimpses of his body twitching and attempts to hide his grimaces. I did not see any other entrances or exits to this study, so I must conclude that the maidservant had been hidden away under his desk and that she was still... attending to her employer. I cleared my throat and said nothing of it. The private affairs of another man are no concern of mine. "And what is your message, Mr. Gottlieb?" I asked.
