Liam's new life

My name is Liam Parker; I'm 19 years old, and I just got accepted into a good college. I'm excited to start, but the only issue is that the college is too far from my house and it takes too long to get there. Knowing this, my mom called a friend of hers who used to live close by years ago and asked if I could stay at her house until I could rent a place for myself.

Her friend accepted, so now I'm moving out, and if I'm being honest, I don't know how I feel about living with her because she has two daughters, and I never get along with them, and I used to fight with them all the time. I just hope that they have forgotten about me by now.

I was just finishing packing my bags when I heard my mom calling me.

"Liam, the taxi is here; come down!" she screams.

"I'm coming!" I scream back.

I finish packing and go down the stairs, where I see my mom waiting at the door. "I'm done packing," I said.

"Good," she says. "I can't believe my baby is finally moving out."

"Yeah, I'll miss you," I said.

"Well, did you say bye to your sister already?" she asks me.

"Yeah, and dad said he's going to call me later." I answer.

"Okay, give me a hug and go, or the driver is going to get angry," she says.

"OK," I said as I hugged her goodbye.

"Bye," she says.

I leave my house, put my bags in the car, and go inside. The driver says, "Finally." and starts the car.
