On the walk home from the bus stop those sharp eyes were all I could think about a strange heat spread through my body

The moment I reached home I quickly shed my clothes and stepped into the bathroom the cold water tried to cool the heat on my skin but the fire inside refused to die down

The silence of the empty house felt suffocating so I made tea and sat on the reclining chair in the sit-out as the sky turned dark blue clouds drifting away

While watching an old movie on my phone the notification chime rang out from an unknown number making my heart skip a beat

I typed back

Aami walked on without saying a word

We all reached the bus stop and stood waiting while Surya remained there unmoving dropped his cigarette butt crushed it under his foot and slowly walked over to us

Miya and Caesar quickly hid behind me when they saw him approach while Revathi glared at Surya with narrowed eyes

Ignoring everyone else Surya stepped right next to me

He leaned in close and whispered into my ear so Revathi wouldn't hear

"Aami where are you heading with all these guardians tonight I will make you taste the sweetness of love in that old room of ours again"

Revathi grabbed my hand tightly and confronted Surya

"Who are you where do you know her from"

Surya was about to answer

Just then he noticed someone walking toward us from the distance so he immediately walked to his bike started the engine cast one last deep look at me and sped off leaving behind a trail of smoke

Miya and Caesar moved a little distance away to play in the dirt so taking advantage of the moment Revathi squeezed my shoulder

"Aami who is he why do you look so panicked"

The bus came to a complete halt Revathi and the kids climbed up first and I got on last

Once we were seated Revathi leaned in and whispered softly in my ear

A familiar surge of heat spread through my body once more while beside me Revathi was trying to sneak a peek at my phone since she always wants to know everything

The day moved forward the bus moved forward and showing it all to her we continued our journey

She babbled on and on annoying me and when we got off the bus we were in the middle of that old town's hustle and bustle while Miya and Caesar waved goodbye and ran off to school

​Surya rode away with a sly smile while Revathi patted my shoulder

​The bus arrived and we all got in and while sitting on the seat my heart rate was racing toward 7:30 and when the bus reached our stop the kids excitedly ran down

​"Hey Aami look your parents came home early"

​My heart sank instantly as mom and dad were standing right there on the veranda

​We walked forward

​"Why did you come early today"

​When we reached near Revathi's house I gripped her hand tightly

​"Hey you must come to my house today pretending you came to take me out only then can I step out at 7:30 to meet Surya you understand right"

​I slowly walked into my house yard where mom and dad were sitting on the veranda while Miya and Caesar had already run inside

​As we walked through the dark toward Revathi's house area my phone flashed with that familiar message

​"I have reached I am standing in the shadow of that old wall where are you"

​"Hey aren't you going to that old house nobody lives there now so on that dusty floor he can do whatever he wants to you right"

​I looked closely and there he was Surya leaning against the black shadow of the wall with his burning cigarette tip glowing like a star even in that darkness

​"Yes he is standing right there you remember what I said right"

​"Yeah yeah I will watch out should I come inside with you guys I want to see what happens in that old room directly"

​"No need you just stand guard outside if mom or dad comes this way just make a sound the rest I will make him do in the dark of that old house uff I can't hold back"

​I walked up to Surya and grabbed his hands while only the speed of our breathing echoed

​"Surya the moment I saw you I felt a deep lust I don't know why but I like you so much"

​Surya dropped his burnt cigarette butt and crushed it under his shoe then slowly moved closer to me putting his arm around the back of my neck to pull me toward him while my body trembled
